It’s pretty sad that nobody from his NC State team transferred here, nor the current LSU team stayed.
It looks like a disaster as LSU isn’t involved with the top portal names still in the portal.
Looking at how he put NC State together last year in the portal and commit dates:
Tre Holloman- committed April 13,2025
Allyn Breed- April 2 (McNeese transfer)
Quadir Copeland-April 4 (McNeese transfer)
Darrion Williams- May 22 (NBA draft pullout)
Terrance Arcenaux- April 25
Ven-Allen Lubin- June 1
Jerry Deng - April 25
Colt Langdon- April 24
The other 2 guys (McNeil and Able) in their rotation last year were guys that stayed committed thru the coaching change.
So to sum up…from this point onward, at least at NC State, he only got 1 player in Darrion Williams in May that was any difference makers. Lubin, the last player added on June 1 was a starter.

Those transfers to NC St. last season looks consistent with several sec schools and other top 25 teams getting their teams filled this year. Thats the main reason everyone is curious as to whats the plan because atm we only got a 1 man army.

People can make mistakes, but clearly there is bias and zero accountability from some posters.
Also, to you and MK going at it, calling a take dumb isn’t a personal insult, everyone has a dumb take at times. However, when people consistently have the dumbest takes, it’s likely they are dumb - I suggest reading TPK’s post history for the giggles.

To sum up, 8/10 rotational players were already on the NC State roster by April 28,2025. He added 2 guys after May 1 that were starters.
As of April 28, 2026, he has one player on the LSU roster.

I explicitly said no new entries. The portal is closed. You can’t enter it.
Whatever is in there, is all there is gonna be. And it’s been closed for almost a week now. Generally guys that get in know exactly where they are going. It doesn’t take till May or later to transfer.
Just look what Wade did with NC State last year. His roster was done by now except for 2 guys. And one was an NBA draft pullout.
I wouldn’t be counting on the portal to solve these problems.

I can agree. We will see how it goes. It will be interesting.
Portal is closed meaning no more top shelf kids are entering because its closed is what he meant i think. The ones who still haven't transfered that entered the portal are still waiting for a reason and its probably not too good. They got maybe 2 or 3 good ones left and no mention of lsu from them as a potential landing spot. It will get interesting needless to say when summer gets rolling.
