Today’s game hinges on two things:

1. Can Alabama run on LSU? If they can then LSU will be unable to count on its pass rush to disrupt the Bama offense.

2. Has LSU fixed its turnover problem? The last two games have been good. If LSU keeps turnovers even or better I think they win even if Bama has success running the ball, because LSU will light up the Bama defense.

Here’s hoping LSU harasses Bama’s QB into turnovers, keeps it clean on offense, and wins by two or more scores.

I think both sides get turnovers today. We will win the turnover battle. We cause 3 turnovers and they get 1. Geaux Tigers!!

I agree. I said this in a couple posts that I think Bama will want the run game going to shorten the game, help out Russell, and keep our offense off the field, and it will prevent the sack happy DL of LSU from causing havoc for Russell.
I feel this will be a defense game.
Sam can't play hero and try to fit the ball into tight windows. He also needs to not get happy feet again but stay in the pocket and hit the timing routes. Bama will trick his eyes to hopefully create happy feet in the pocket and hopes he runs. He is not that fast and get him going east west he is not Jayden Daniels that will out run angles.

I agree on both fronts. If we do happen to turn the ball over, it can’t be of the defensive score variety.

Here is an interesting stats.

At home, on the season, vs. only FBS teams, LSU is at 0 in the turnover margin. On the road, Bama is also at 0 in the turnover margin.

In giveaways, LSU is # 92 at +1.4. Alabama is #105 at +1.5. It's the takeaways that Bama has excelled in.

In the two games they have lost, Bama was either tied (Georgia, 1-1, 0) in turnover margin or lost (Tennessee, 2-4, -2).

If LSU plays a clean game, I think it bodes well for the Tigers.

That’s not how that works. It only works that way if you’re supposed to win games that you drop consistently. Look up the last time LSU was this big of a favorite at home against the team from that state. Tigahs big today.
