He sucked tonight. We hired him because of his aggressive mind set (like he said a few weeks ago against a&m). He blew timeouts and we still weren't ready to run the play after a timeout (then took a penalty when we already had crappy field position).

They missed the field goal on that drive anyway, that stack did nothing in the grand scheme

That punting on 4th and 1 was the right call. Kentucky had no timeouts left and a shaky kicker. If you want to blame someone, blame Baker and that swiss cheese defense. How TF you give up 35 pts to Kentucky?

Yea Crazy. Him being the coach and all...

Because he is the frickin coach and his job is to have his team prepared to play and disciplined! He has failed miserably at his job in the two biggest games of the season thus far!

The head coach should always get the blame. It’s his guys working under him.

You are fricking stupid. Punting was such a gutless move. Baker has a proven track record of getting absolutely shredded in those situations. It’s all on Lane for punting like a pussy and putting it in Baker’s hands. You can’t get a fricking yard right there to win the game then that’s it. I can handle it. What I can’t handle is that gutless shite that happened. Most obvious outcome ever after that punt. This guy will never win anything here or anywhere. He just showed his true colors and he’s scared

Have every reason in the world to be scared of every QB with Baker coaching in a game winning drive situations. Guy is fricking pathetic in these spots and it happens over and over. Every 2 min drive he gets straight up gashed

The defense had given up yards between the 20s all game. We got lucky that they missed a FG (the 2nd missed FG they already started there so I won't put that on them) but it was pretty predictable that they would make FG range after the punt.

You had a shot to end the game and get out with a win, all you need is 1 damn yard. You didn't trust your offense to get a yard to win the game, where even if you don't get it your defense still can get a stop or hold them to a FG. I was begging for him to go for it before he even punted. I thought it was a bad call that would end up losing the game and it did.

It was a cowardly move imo. I'm not calling for him to be fired or any kind of overreaction like that, I still think the future is bright. But I can also think that and also think that was a really bad cowardly call

Should have gone for it. Why play against Kentucky and the reefs in overtime. They didn't show the footage of the timeout in ot intentionally like they didn't early in the game when lsu took it. Should have been a false start but if you have one yard game is over

Punting on 4th was ok. It was the first and second down call that sucked. If you are going to throw on 3rd, why not on 1st or 2nd and go for the kill shot then?

This isn't a fair assessment. D held Kentucky to Missed FG with less than 5 minutes. LSU offense gave them the ball back. Held to missed FG again.

LSU offense in last 5 min of game disappeared

Incorrect

It was a bad decision. Doesn’t mean the loss is all on him or that he sucks now and OMG we hired the wrong guy lol

But you need 1 yd to win the game and you have Leavitt you go for it and end that shite 100 times out of 100.

Yes, Baker still blew it at the end too but the defense was outstanding in the second half.

Hell take away the first play of the game or a freak punt return TD (not on him) and the game is not close.

It was another tough environment with a rowdy arse crowd and partisan refs and we couldn’t seal the deal, again.

Sucks, but not a referendum on the coach or even the team.

Although flipping between this game and the Bama UGA game has me prepared for an absolute slaughter in November.

Our OL does not look like those teams do, it is going to be nasty

Wrong call all day. Defensive line getting pushed around all night by Kentucky. You have to try to ice the game there. Everything else was an obvious second order effect of that decision.
