To re-build the roster and make playoffs. I figured year 2 or 3. So while its very annoying and aggravating to lose to fricking Kentucky we have to realize we are still in the middle of a re-build. The playoffs were just a pipe dream this year we were not built to make a run at a title. Idc how much we spent maybe the talent in the portal wasn't good enough for a title run and we just bought the best of what was out there. Recruiting and time is the only thing that makes us a playoff team. As shitty as leavitt is it's probably better he stays another year and gets experience in lanes system this year so you are not starting fresh again next year with the most important position on team. Keep building and upgrading and eventually it will pay off

Immediately. It’s not 1985. No excuses with salaried rosters and no sit transfers.

How do you know, salaried rosters are just now a thing. How much did indiana spend last year on NIL?

Year 2 with the NIL era here and a big budget there’s no excuse to not be a top 12 team with LSU’s resources. He did great recruiting this first year, but you have a new offense to instill to guys, and it’s extremely hard to build depth year one of a coaching change. You combine injuries to it and it’s not surprising, BUT honestly no excuses for this loss tonight. We had so many chances to put it away. The officials were bad, but so was the coaching. Baker was terrible. Both losses this season we had a chance to win or at least go into OT on the last possession.

A year. Didn’t expect a championship year one. That being said; I’d didn’t expect him to be a b*tch on 4th down calls that affect the game. Thought we hired an aggressive innovative coach. If we wanted some p***y to punt in crucial moments and then lose the game; we could’ve kept BK

One first year coach did it. People believing Cignetti is the new norm are stupid.

No offense.

Cignetti took IU to the playoffs in year 1 and won it all in year 2. Indiana. In a Big Ten every bit as good as the SEC.

Somewhere between 21 and 33 million. Most likely on the low end of that range.

The Big 10 is definitely not top to bottom as good as the SEC

Year 2 to be top 4. But i expected better coaching as a whole. To call a timeout in the second half vs Kentucky on 4th down, just to accidentally take a delay of game, that’s inexcusable.

Losing bc we don’t have depth and have injuries wouldn’t bother me near as bad as losing bc of coaching.

Something was definitely off with his approach tonight. Pretty sure he was just coaching to survive a win on the road against a good team. At least when you beat yourself it's correctable, if you were beat because you lacked talent against Kentucky that's completely different loss. We can correct our weaknesses, probably starts with getting his own DC I think Blake will be told to take a job somewhere else after this year.

Nahh he dont get paid all that money to “ just play to survive a win on the road” how did that work out week 3? Now it happens twice? Against only two teams with a heartbeat this year we been out coached. Seen this too many times. Lane will lose minimum 2 bonehead games every year that he should win. Hope he proves me wrong but thats the kind of coach he has shown to be. Is it worth all the money and drama? Time will tell. Not a good start

Lane will get some time, but Baker needs to go. He’s had enough time here

Now. Every year there is tons of roster turnover with free agency. We have one of the highest paid rosters in CFB

Year 2 should be improvement but losing games like this is unacceptable. Granted, it was thr worst officiated game I’ve ever seen but Lane did coach scared.
