Are we about to argue that Sankey is damaging LSU with inconsistent application of rules?

The issue is no longer about the players if it ever was. It’s about fair and equitable enforcement of the rules across the board.
Right now we don’t have that. We have one set of rules for LSU and one set for everyone else.
How do you threaten LSU with sanctions over the very thing you’re currently allowing at other schools?
The same leverage Sankey was using against us suddenly turns to our favor precisely because we didn’t roster the players. And I think it strengthened our legal argument as well.
The SEC is creating an unfair advantage by inconsistent application of their own rules. If LSU can’t play by those same rules, LSU is being harmed.

Yep. Sankey better make sure the other teams don’t play any player that has participated in any type of nfl camp as a udfa and received any type of compensation or reimbursement. And they would need to make sure those players have not signed any kind of nflpa document.

I'm glad they finally dropped the curtain and went on record how ate up they were with LSU hate.
I'm glad we also have an administration with actual nuts that lives to fight. I expect lawsuits soon against the SEC. I can't say enough good things about this administration

Sankey won’t be the SEC commissioner next year. That’s going to be the good thing to come from all this

No SEC schools have rostered any “NFL players”
All 16 schools (including LSU) initially agreed on the subject, then later voted unanimously. (LSU abstained from the vote)
So how is it unfair to not allow LSU to roster these guys?

I still think we're going to roster the players at some point.
They're probably regrouping and putting together a better approach. Or, maybe waiting for the federal suit or what the CFP is going to do.

If you’ve been keeping up, the SEC rule is players can’t sign a contract with an NFL team, then they allowed six teams in the league to sign players who signed minicamp contracts with NFL teams — saying those aren’t contracts. That will bite them in the arse before this is over. We were wise enough not to do so

Do you have an example?

That's the high road position.

And admitted in court that league votes are a farce. Sankey and his shitty advisors did irreparable harm to the SEC that will take a few years to bubble up completely.

What is a mini camp contract? Sounds like LSU should go out and find players that only signed mini camp contracts like the rest of the schools are doing.

A contract is nothing more than an agreement between two parties.
Party 1 accepts invite to a mini camp in exchange for per diem from party 2.

They have to sign a participation agreement to cover the gear for practice and insurance in case of injury. Those agreements are contracts that include some form of financial compensation. It’s in our best interest NOT to sign any players who did this because it gives us legal defense when we tried to sign the guys we did that had NFLPA’s.

I think the whole thing was a psyop. I now refer to LK as Mayhem

And contracts don't always have to be in writing either.

You really need someone to explain to you what a contract is? Were you one of the idiots who wrote the new bylaw using the terminology “contract with an NFL team” instead of “NFL Player Contract”?

No, I’m just not sure of all the different contracts you have to sign throughout the process of trying out and playing on an NFL team. I’m sure you’re an expert on it though. That’s why I was asking

All lsu did was ask a court about eligibility and then got threatened with expulsion.
I have a feeling every sec team has done this
How dare LSU question the NCAA/SEC authority, but cool if everyone else does.
