Maybe 06 and 07, but Saban would have been a disaster during the 2005 Katrina season.

Agree. A control freak would have had a meltdown.

But he would have righted the ship. Also would have missed out on Perrilloux which would have been a blessing in disguise.

Who could forget? Ole Miss even hung a banner to commemorate it.

Didn’t play that much that year. Bryce Wyatt was one of the rotators on that line as well. We had a great unit. Were some wars at practices between those guys and the offensive line.

Will never forget watching freshman Ben Wilkerson one hand stone up Lavalais in 1on1 pass pro during fall camp when the freshmen finally came together with the older guys for two a days. I knew that dude was going to be a dog right then and there

Eli claims that he saw an open wide receiver right before he fell.
given it looks like we were rushing 13, I bet a few wide receivers were open on that play

Sat in seats surrounded by OM season ticket holders . Most were gracious losers.

iirc, Ole Miss got a cheap early TD, but by the 2nd quarter LSU was asserting itself and getting control of the game.

LSU was the better team. The score was a little closer than what it should have been.

I was at that game in Oxford.
For some reason the Rebels waited until a later date to hang the banner celebrating the 2003 SEC Western Division Championship. .

That was one hell of a DL. It’s what a true LSU defense should be.

Mauck threw a pretty terrible pick 6 IIRC, but made up for it later on a smash route that went for a long TD.

Mauck was pretty turnover prone against the better teams on the schedule. Really about the only weakness the 03 team had once they figured out a RB rotation

Definitely top 2 (sure you know the other one). That picture of Skylar catching a TD vs Georgia is iconic.
