Yep. Pretty sure we flipped him late in the process from State or Ole Miss.

I’ll take last year’s class with portal additions against anyone. We added 5 star portal additions that were proven dogs. If you follow the number of highly rated high school recruits that never pan out, that’s a lot of money that could be offered to proven guys that fit. Not saying you don’t try to get good freshmen, but I think having a heavy portal class will become more popular for the teams that can afford the top guys. All I heard was how Dabo’s philosophy had allowed him to have this super veteran group of retained players that would be much more cohesive than LSU’s mix and match group of hired guns who never played together. That’s not how it went down though.

I agree in general but there are some who value the program, development, and preparation we offer for the NFL and it’s not about the last penny on a bid. At least three DBs we signed last year fall into this camp. One high school and two transfers. These are the players you want anyway because they are motivated to prepare and perform. It’s the culture that Kelly keeps talking about. And don’t forget about our QB.

Petitto is using his bag to reel in Bradford and Bell.

You say this about most players we lose. I like him and hope he sticks.

OL was Ole Misses achilles heel last season and that unit didn’t appear to be much improved in week 1. It wouldn’t be a good look for Kiffin to lose the top OL in the state 2 years in a row while struggling on the field at that position.
I imagine they gave him an offer we didn’t feel like matching.
