I wonder how much of that is because other coaches knew he was an LSU lock?

Isn’t Mathews an LSU lock? I don’t see any SEC coaches backing off their offers to him! Just sayin

Just saying that UVA is objectively a much, much better one. It's a fantastic school.

I know about UVA. I once worked with a young man who had a Nuclear Engineering degree from UVA.
He made me realize the advantage a truly intelligent person has over the average guy. Young Mr Mueller was also one of the nicest people I have worked with.
I've had a lot of respect for UVA since then.

Absolutely was not. In fact we werent even considered the favorite necessarily before Mason Smith got hired. He sealed the deal for Jacoby Mathews. Even Mathews admitted Smith was the difference maker for him in his recruitment.

That badass, state-of-the-art, over-the-top, 28 million dollar locker room we have? It's called the Phillips-Bordelon Locker Room.

Give that some thought for a minute.

Right, because all top football recruits play 6A Texas football exclusively.

That’s pretty rich coming from you. It’s also obviously a joke. Don’t get your panties in a wad.

but don't single out Bordelon who hasn't even made it to campus yet, while there are some who have been on the team a few years that haven't proven scholarship worthy.

Who said you are "not allowed" to discuss incoming prospects? You are "allowed" to say whatever you wish just as we are "allowed" to disagree with you.

I think he is a good project but let’s be honest there are other reasons for offering him.

for once I agree with you. He's Tommy Parsons 2.0.

Murders people on film, but wont start in the SEC.

You (or whoever I was responding to) *literally* said don’t do it lmfao. Go back and read.

Must have been "whoever" that said that cause it wasn't me. I am the last guy that would try to silence others opinions. I left Tigerfan for that reason. The site is run by whomever for LSU fans and apparently along with some Oregon Duck fan that gets away with insulting LSU fans but you get banned if you respond accordingly. They seem to bow down to and revere this guy. I think you are required to wear mask to post ther, just kidding but trying to make a point. Tiger Droppings is profoundly more free than TigerFan and has a much better recruiting section.

Post on brother I just disagree with your opinion about Bordelon.

so there’s no reason he can’t take a preferred walk-on or gray shirt until next year. He was always going to redshirt so it’s not like he’s losing on field experience time
I realize that LSU doesn't have the a great record in this area, but I'd be surprised if that didn't happen in this case. For an in state kid with TOPS, the tuition outlay for 1 year is close to nothing for them, much less than than they've already probably donated. Speaking from personal experience, a true tiger LA family that has the money should have no problem with PWO, especially with a guaranteed scholarship next year. If anything, it might be preferred because anything that potentially gets the best people to campus and makes the team better helps everyone including them. It's a relatively small price for a relatively decent impact. It's pretty common for our last man in to turn out to be a contributer.

I mean.... their 2021 class was probably the best OL class in history, while we signed one 4* and one 3*.

If you rank the players in our 2021 OL class and bama's 2021 OL class, it goes

1. Bama guy
2. Bama guy
3. Bama guy
4. LSU guy
5. Bama guy
6. Bama guy
7. LSU guy

Not sure I'd consider that "closing the gap".

Maybe, but idk if I’d be a true Tiger if I was a prospect and the Tigers were doing that and somewhere else was offering me that full ride. Offers aren’t just monetary. They represent also that school X values you over all the other kids who didn’t get offers.
