We are doomed. Watts has Bama and Mike Farrell just posted an update saying as of now, he doesn’t have enough reason to change his pick to Bama.

I just hope Sage is intentionally trolling Bama like some LA recruits that went to Bama did to LSU over the years as payback.

I think if he was truly undecided/conflicted he would move the commitment date. He set up the announcement this Saturday originally to commit to Bama and hasn’t moved it despite the pressure as of now. He probably feels a crazy amount of pressure right now given the ties to LSU and Louisiana. Maybe the feedback LSU's insiders are getting are sincere or he is feeding them what they want to hear so they back off.

What we know for sure is that Bama had a definitive yes and, as of Tuesday, he was going to announce the commitment to Bama on sat. Despite the positivity by the staff, he has yet to confirm with anyone that he is coming to LSU. That tells me we are out of it unless a miracle happens. I’m sure saban had a well thought out plan put together in anticipation for our final push.

He’s gone. Barring a very abrupt change of heart, this isn’t going to go well for LSU tomorrow.
I don’t know how anyone can feel any level confidence on this. Sure, LSU is working hard. But the damage has been done. This dude set this date to commit Bama. We have the absolute slimmest of chances.

Up until a couple days ago he was 100% going to Bama and, by all accounts, this is a kid and family who really weighed the pros and cons and determined Bama was best for them. Most insiders are saying whoever he picks on Saturday is almost certainly who he will sign with. So, he got to that point, knowing the drama it would cause, and gave saban a yes but he is unwilling to give us one. Add that to the fact that all the Bama insiders are confident he is going with the Gumps and there is little to be excited about.

Ok I hear you but I guess I’ll be in the minority and keep my optimism. If there’s smoke and confidence coming from both sides then all I can do is wait and see. I’m not one to do all this melting. We obviously haven’t been told yes or no so I have no reason to be worried and catch a panic attack. Do y’all’s thing though

Do not get me wrong, there are a few supposedly connected insiders still confident that he is picking LSU. I am just holding off on optimism based on similar situations from the last few years.

I understand brother and for those exact reasons is why I keep optimism until the announcement. We’ve been through these situations so many times and I’ve been following recruiting too long to be melting. I’ve learned all you can do is sit and wait. No point in arguing about an 18 yr olds decision. Is what it is
