The guard and wing depth on that team will be insane. Somebody really good won't see many minutes.
Mays, Waters, Sampson (if he comes back) Edwards, Rachal, Alexander, Smart.

They were small jumps (like 4 spots each), but worthy. Smart is almost a 5-star. Smart truly dominated a Thanksgiving tournament recently.
Next year should be a truly good team. We've got 6 really good guards to shuffle through (Waters, Mays, Sampson, Smart, Edwards, Rachal) and will finally have a deep group of forwards (Bigby-Williams, Reid, Days, Kiir, Sims, Alexander).
They will add another forward too, Williams who is a 5 star or the JUCO Alok.

That's exactly my lineup. Smart will play most minutes off bench. Days plays a lot off bench.
Smart = 20-25 minutes off bench as Waters/Mays replacement, keep 2 PGs on floor at all times
Days = 15-20 minutes off bench as stretch 4
Edwards = 10-15 minutes off bench as 3 point sniper
Rachal = 10-15 minutes off bench as defensive specialist
Sims = 10-15 minutes off bench as a combo player
Kiir = 5-10 minutes off bench as short relief at 4/5
Alexander = 5-10 minutes off bench as short relief at 3/4

Does Waters stay?
He's like 5'10, no worries on him jumping ship soon. He's too short to really jump to NBA after 1 season.
Trying to think of players that short who declared early and got drafted recently and I cant think of anybody in 2017 draft, in 2016 Tyler Ulis but he played 2 years in college and was a 2nd round pick.

It's obvious that the guy has some serious talent and you can use a guy like him no matter his size. He's actually one of the better passers, shooters, defensive, and he gets to the rim better than most on the team as well. This kid isn't going anywhere, unless we keep hitting it big at PG. He's the best pure basketball talent we have at this time.

Think Sims plays more than Days early on but also think we see Wade rotate a lot of our big men next year with so many new faces.

Waters reminds me of a smaller version of Kyrie
I think his stock will soar next year with more talent around him.

Kiir and Alexander should both redshirt if the coaches believe they figure into the long-term plan for the program.
If you can't get minutes in the easy non-conference, you're not going to get minutes once conference play rolls in.
If they are marginal players that may not stick around, then don't redshirt them.

Very funny that was the craziest pregame pump up ever!!!

I like Rachal and Edwards but adding smart to that mix is going to force those guys to be less one dimensional if they want consistent minutes next season. If Rachal can get a little more polished on offense he can be a legit 3/small ball 4.

This team isn't waiting for next year. We need to do a better job filling the PMAC

This. I was wondering the same thing the other day but I think he'll be back. If he was a few inches taller he would no doubt be one and done. Kid is legit
