Arch Manning

only 13 years old and can already spin the ball much better than Anthony Jennings

LSU should do everything they can to mend any perceived sleights and get the Mannings on board. No reason for old grudges to last with all new people in the atheletics building. Coach O should be burning the midnight oil working this out.

We need to hold our horses here the kid did all this against a garbage program like Shaw...

8th grader against “garbage” Catholic league program...yeah...his performance isn’t worth recognizing!

Archie has 61 good reasons to dislike LSU. lol

Damn he looks the part. How cool would it be to see Archie and the boys cheering for LSU if he became a Tiger

I don’t think he’s 6’1” but he’s likely going to grow a bit more.
There’s some good footage of him online. He throws it well for an 18 year old much less As a 13 year old,

As mentioned the kid is in 8th grade and a few of those were pretty damn accurate passes. Very impressive in my opinion considering he is playing varsity ball. The Mannings sure love Newman. I wonder if Curtis would be willing to run a pass happy offense if they had a Manning?

I think it's a pretty safe bet that the skill set Arch is currently demonstrating will not turn out to be a flash in the pan. Do you really expect a Manning with demonstrated talent to not reach his potential? Possible, but I'd be willing to take that chance in this instance.

Chances he ends up at LSU are very slim, but for his age he is already showing elite ability.

Archie Manning has something against LSU. I forgot the backstory on that.
In one of the books he wrote he talked about as a youngster he laid in bed listening to the 1959 LSU-Ole Miss game. He said he cried himself to sleep when LSU won.

The only reason he went to Ole Miss is because his family was in debt and about to lose the farm to the bank. Guess where the bank owner was a graduate from? And all of a sudden the Mannings money problems went away.
Not really. Archie's father commited suicide before he ever played a down at Ole Miss.

No shite. They had some financial troubles before that (probably one of the reasons he did it) and after their financial troubles got way worse. This is well known but carry on with whatever makes you feel better.

Now days we refer to this as a "strong arse offer."

So you're saying Ole Miss was at the forefront of dirty recruiting 50 somewhat years ago?

In before “he’s not coming here”.

Get Odell to start recruiting him. Obviously Ole miss would be the front runner but Archie was supportive of Peyton going to Tenn.
O needs to show that LSU can consistently produce SEC level QBs and he should be very interested in coming.
