Agree with you

The only one of our portal entries I would want back is Jalen Reed. It sucks that injuries derailed him the last two years.

I wouldn't turn him away. But I also wouldn't bend over backwards financially to retain a 7 ppg & 5 rpg guy who has missed 85% of the last two seasons due to major injuries.

Added Azavier Robinson, Butler PG, who LSU will be conducting a zoom call with, and Jerald Colonel forward from Stephen F. Austin. He was Southland Conference DPOY:

I would def want Dedan back before him and thats 2 guys I'm skeptical on because of injury history
I'm not even sure Reed will be a full go the next season when it rolls around. The injury he had can go 10-12 months pretty easy for full recovery. Just feel like that dude is snakebit and might never realize his potential in college due to the injuries. If the price is right (aka, not 7 figures+) then yeah come on back and take a wild card on him; but if he wants to get paid paid, hell no
Still cant believe Xavier is paying Nwoko $3M supposedly...for a guy who can barely average over 20 min a game

I don’t believe that number at all for a guy that basically provides 5 fouls

Agree 100%
Most of the numbers surrounding NIL (for all schools, for all sports) are total bullshite.

Wade did say he’d find a role for anyone wanting to stay so I don’t believe he’ll be processed. However, NIL funds might be more meager than if he transfers although I’m sure his bag would be smallish anywhere due to his injury history. Hope he stays and Wade strengthens his body and he has a successful injury free season for a change. Conditioning certainly appeared significantly different for Wade coached v McMahon coached teams.

Does anyone know when official news will start dropping regarding official visits? I can’t wait for more substantial news nuggets and was hoping to hear about some scheduled visits sometime today.

Shea said the board will narrow by the end of this week. He said they will get a picture of who is actually interested when visits start to get scheduled.

Some updates:
1. Wes Enis, USF guard, is likely not following his coach to Providence anymore. LSU has been in contact. LINK
2. Sounds like Ole Miss wants to get involved with Haggerty. (and Larry Johnson)
3. Cole Cloer may be wanting to stay in the ACC.
4. LSU is in contact with FAU transfer Isaiah Elohim LINK
5. No more info for LSU's side on Sherrell. Baylor's coach is visiting him today, Providence has a dinner w him tonight and Duke is receiving a visit from him this weekend. Way more schools have gotten involved. He's had zoom calls with Arky and Indiana.

Has to be. One article will tell you a team offered 1 guy $7m and the next says the most expensive rosters in basketball ran $12m. I get that could be rev share before NIL, but it still seems far fetched. Who knows tho.

The "sources" for those articles are mostly "agents" (term used loosely). They will purposely inflate the amounts for leverage purposes AND bring attention to themselves.
I don't buy that Kentucky spent $20M+ on its roster this past season, just like I never bought the BS that LSU was grossly deficient in its NIL spending relative to the rest of the SEC. LSU wasn't at the top. But it wasn't this massive gap so many McMahon apologists desperately wanted to be true so as to justify the 4 years of awful results on anything but McMahon being a poor major conf. HC.

I could see us being grossly deficient in the past only because fat Scott was a disaster at the start of NIL and we were kinda at a 12-24 month disadvantage. I do believe we closed that gap though at the latest last year.
Now with the changes we probably are back on the forefront and have motivated boosters since it’s much easier to get money for Lane and Wade than BK and McLoser

Saw him play in person this past year. Would love to get him here

CJ (Newsweek) on twitter saying the same thing. Haggerty is expected to sign with LSU.
Good cornerstone piece of the class elite scorer and Wade has been trying to get him for two off-seasons. Hopefully he has a good plan for him.
