You do realize none of that really matters because you CAN LEGALLY pay players now

The actual violations real quick…

- got in trouble for paying an ex player’s, ex finance extortion money

- failure to cooperate with an investigation

- failure to present an atmosphere of cooperation

- failure to report a potential violation

You have no idea what you’re talking about as usual.

But you see coach, rules were put in around 20 years ago that stated an ignorance of the wrongdoing in your program was no excuse for the HC. In other words, the Sgt Schultz routine don't fly anymore.

You pass a lot with nothing but ashes. You pass this lot every day and there was always a house there. Does your dumbass have to witness the fire to CORRECTLY deduce that the house burned to the ground?

Do you believe Few, Bennett, and Wright were signing all these great players with the absolute belief that "most of these other coaches are cheating, glad I don't have to cuz I'm one HELLUVA recruiter!"

I wouldn't be shocked AT ALL if your 3 golden boys knew absolutely nothing about any details of the illegal inducements given to their players. But they knew something was going on.

How in the hell are you 40, an EYBL coach, and of the belief that any successful coach signing your top players runs a clean program? HS basketball recruiting has been known for decades to be a cesspool of illegal recruiting, all the way back to Wooden's days. But not Few, Bennett, or Wright and others you refuse to name according to you.

Also, are you really so naive about those Wade "admissions ??"

He was playing the game and being contrite in his statements to appease idiots like you who think "dadgummit, I believe that baw done learned his lesson bout cheatin."

The media and MORE IMPORTANTLY, the NCAA decides who to protect and who to go after. You can't possibly be this stupid. Or can you??

The key part of the violations is the extortion. The woman he paid threatened to go to the press and tell them he was paying players even though her ex fiancée wasn’t playing for Wade. If these allegations had any validity to them Wade would’ve been done in CBB for a long time but all he got was a 10 game suspension for redundant and derivative violations. In other words the NCAA wasted money, found nothing and took out their embarrassment on him. Now did he pay players? About as much as Few and Wright have for what’s been proven so this moral high ground these posters attack Wade from doesn’t actually exist.

You're 100% correct.

I just need it explained to me how an EYBL coach TRULY believes that any top players on that circuit were going to school with zero illegal benefits.

Of course the head man at these colleges isn't cheating. He is having it done on his program's behalf though.

These dudes are over the top control freaks. There is NOTHING going on as far as boosters, shoe companies etc.. that they aren't allowing to go on.

That’s great news. If they are enrolled, then they should eventually be eligible once the courts clear them. Can they collect NIL without LSU officially acknowledging that they are on the team?

Do the foreign guys have to go to court? Or did they just submit paperwork into the NCAA and they are waiting for their stamp?

Does anyone know how that works?

I think you’re wasting your time looking for that poster to be genuine. Only reason I interact with him or the other one is because their repetitive lies tend to grow unless they’re checked. Just ask drizz how many years it took to root out some of their BS narratives on the board. I might be giving them too much credit but I haven’t ruled out the possibility it’s the entire reason they do it.

Just read the post.

I read it just fine.

Can you read, "coach"?

You're not going to corner me into saying it was the Villanova Offense,

No one has to corner you into saying anything, you're stupid enough to say it all by yourself.

because it wasn't

I know that. Everyone else knows that. You don't know that. Or maybe you didn't but you do now. Must have finally reached that chapter in your book.

The similarities are it was a 4 out system and it was guard driven, read an react, jump stop/jumping off two etc. McMahon used a ton of PNR and DHO, Wright used a system that features "slots and wings", where there are principals based on where you pass the ball, and replacing a spot. Also lots of Hi-Lo. Completely different sets. Your questioning tells me you don't understand the difference between the two. Either that, or you're just ignorant. Par for the course. There's your learning for the day.

How am I or anyone else supposed to learn anything from you who clearly knows nothing about basketball?

No, its your fault you don't understand what you're saying.

Given how you repeatedly feel the need to tell posters on a message board that you're a "coach" yea, it kinda seems like it is.

Yes, we already know you're a legitimately stupid person.

As stated before, the shoe companies, boosters, etc work these deals under the table with parents, uncles, cousins etc. In many cases, the coaches don’t know.

Yea. Collegiate coaches that have absolute control over every aspect of the program have no idea their players are getting paid. Imagine how stupid you have to be to believe something like this

you’re not really living in reality you’re living in your own fantasy world that bases your entire argument on something you can’t physically prove. Definitely not realistic.

This isnt a criminal trial, this is common sense.

Reality is living in the real world by accepting that players have been paid for decades before it was legal and that the people in charge of them were not unaware of it.

Fantasy world is where coaches don't know whats going on with their programs, matt mcmahaon is a good basketball coach that runs the villanova offense, verge was responsible for finally providing the resources for the 2025-2026 basketball season, and you possess average intelligence.

Yes, I do. Which is why I hope Will Wade is the guy to get us a national championship, I just have my doubts for a few reasons.

Will Wade’s offense prioritizes a few things:

Heavy Isolation

Team Assist % By year

2018–19 LSU 214th of 353

2020-21 LSU 246th of 343

2021-22 LSU 213th of 358

2023-24 McNeese St 69th of 364

2024-25 McNeese St 210th of 362

2025-26 NC State 142nd of 362

The National Champion of each year listed hasn’t finished higher than 35th nationally.[b]

Penetrate and Dish Philosophy

Will Wade’s offenses rely on penetrate and kick, 1-2 passes per possession. This presents a problem. When you run a large portion of your offense around PNR, you should have a very balanced offensive spread, between assists. What that means is your offensive assist percentage between 2’s and 3’s should be somewhat balanced based on how the defense reacts. A healthy number of your points should come from drop offs, alley oops, etc. His teams don’t. There is an unhealthy balance, in my opinion. This means that the ball handler most of the time is either attacking the rim, or kicking for a 3, and not playing the roll man.

The 2 should be prioritized over the 3.

Here is a breakdown for visual people like myself:

2018–19 Season

[b]Will Wade (LSU):

Assisted 2-point FGs: 38.4% (~285th nationally)
Assisted 3-point FGs: 86.0% (~90th nationally)

National Champion (Virginia):

Assisted 2-point FGs: 52.1% (~75th nationally)
Assisted 3-point FGs: 88.2% (~55th nationally)

2020–21 Season

Will Wade (LSU):

Assisted 2-point FGs: 31.1% (~340th nationally)
Assisted 3-point FGs: 83.6% (~155th nationally)

National Champion (Baylor):

Assisted 2-point FGs: 48.5% (~135th nationally)
Assisted 3-point FGs: 74.2% (~260th nationally)

2021–22 Season

Will Wade (LSU):

Assisted 2-point FGs: 35.5% (~315th nationally)
Assisted 3-point FGs: 84.1% (~140th nationally)

National Champion (Kansas):

Assisted 2-point FGs: 53.8% (~50th nationally)
Assisted 3-point FGs: 76.0% (~240th nationally)

2023–24 Season

Will Wade (McNeese State):

Assisted 2-point FGs: 41.2% (~245th nationally)
Assisted 3-point FGs: 89.5% (~50th nationally)

National Champion (UConn):

Assisted 2-point FGs: 61.3% (~12th nationally)
Assisted 3-point FGs: 84.0% (~115th nationally)

2024–25 Season

Will Wade (McNeese State):

Assisted 2-point FGs: 33.4% (~335th nationally)
Assisted 3-point FGs: 93.0% (~15th nationally)

National Champion (Florida):

Assisted 2-point FGs: 49.8% (~110th nationally)
Assisted 3-point FGs: 79.5% (~190th nationally)

2025–26 Season

Will Wade (NC State):

Assisted 2-point FGs: 36.8% (~310th nationally)
Assisted 3-point FGs: 88.2% (~60th nationally)

National Champion (Michigan):

Assisted 2-point FGs: 52.4% (~65th nationally)
Assisted 3-point FGs: 81.4% (~160th nationally)

This is where the “streetball” comes from. There’s a drastic difference in philosophy from Will Wade and championship coaches.

There are honestly a few more things like this I can point out and provide information to, we know Will Wade’s team have rarely been good defensively, but I am running short of time and maybe we can move on to talking about recruiting. Seems like there’s going to be some news here soon.

I remain hopeful being that I’ve been an LSU fan since I can remember Herb Tyler at QB, and meeting Randy Livingston at a basketball camp while he was playing, but I feel these things are overlooked by most fans and his priorities are drastically flipped compared to championship winning coaches. I do want Will Wade to succeed, but I have my doubts.

I have been wrong before, and I hope I am proven wrong this time.

Scrolling through all of these novels to try to find recruiting information on the recruiting board in threads dedicated to recruiting is certainly an experience.

Yeah, it’s pretty frustrating. I’d say we could open a new recruiting thread since the culprits have refused multiple suggestions/requests to spin their discussion into another thread of their own in respect of fellow posters seeking recruiting news only. But they’d drop in that thread and start it right back up. Life on TD.

I wonder if the AD's office or basketball ops has but a muzzle on the local media regarding the roster. For example, Mascona hasn't said peep on the topic on 104.5 or LockedOn. I know football discussion dominates the airwaves right now, but everyday I expect to hear mention of the roster, now that school is starting. Basketball ops knows something we dont, obviously and rightfully. But season ticket renewals are ongoing this week. I have two tickets and will renew but was planning on buying up to six to accommodate the whole family. I am reluctant to do that at this point and will likely stick with the two

Will Wade made LSU basketball hugely popular again and went 16-2 in the SEC his second year at the helm!

Salue the MF'n general or ban yourself from these conversations!!!!
