The further you dig in to defending your argument, the more ridiculous the arguments become.
Very few LSU basketball fans were "fed up" with Wade. There may have been some general frustrations with his in game decisions (even those were limited). But no LSU basketball fan was fed up. LSU had 11,000+ in attendance at (what turned out to be at the time) his final home game at LSU in 2022. You're creating a narrative that outside evidence didn't support except maybe for Big Carl who "doesn't care about basketball"

Drew wasn't going to leave Baylor for LSU. Kentucky, with significantly more money, support, and prestige tried to hire him...and he turned them down. But you think LSU could have hired him (Also, take a look at his most recent seasons. They aren't very encouraging)
Bennett left UVA because he didn't want to coach in the NIL/transfer era. Last I checked, LSU has to operate under those parameters too. Sampson was at the top of the sport at Houston with great financial support. His son is also the coach in waiting. He wasn't leaving Houston. Painter is at his alma mater having great success. Why would he leave there for LSU Musselman quickly collapsed at Arkansas, left after one year of poor results, and has a .350 Big 10 winning % at USC. I guess compared to McMahon's SEC winning % that is great. But I wouldn't call it a "splash" hire.
Then again, countless bozos think football and basketball are the same when it comes to the coaching marketplace. They aren't. Look no further than the last two years. Both the Kentucky and North Carolina jobs became available. There are no schools in America that care more about basketball than those two. Yet, both were turned down by multiple "splash" hires, ultimately having to settle for uninspiring names WAY down the list of people their fans wanted. If Kentucky and UNC couldn't make "splash" hires, what in the hell makes you think LSU could?

9* NCAA Tournament appearances in 12 seasons, at 5 different schools
never had a losing season
recently tied the NCAA record for largest single season turnaround (+19 wins)
Has the best winning % of any LSU coach with more than 2 seasons at LSU in 100 years
Fans would be ecstatic. Yet, put the name Will Wade on the top of the resume and suddenly "LSU could do better"...despite not having done better before or since in the last THIRTY+ YEARS

That's exactly my point. Those are plays. I'm talking about a system. We had no system with Wade. If we had one, I'd like to hear about it. McMahon runs a 1-4 ball screen motion offense with a rip series. Very similar to the philosophies of Jay Wright, with back door cuts, penetrate and dish and finishing off two feet.

See rds dc’s post a few before yours. A TRO was issued in CA today which means he can transfer to LSU. However, my concern is TRO vs injunction. I understand generally the difference, but specifically in these cases if a TRO really means much to hang your hat on.

You have your opinion and I have my doubts, nothing personal about it. Some of you can’t wrap your mind around a difference of opinion. Will Wade is a winner? Or does it make him a loser he won illegally and got fired because of it?
