mlb team can rehab him

Nicholastiger, I’ve always wondered if a long rehab is better done under the care of a big university or the MLB team. Thoughts anyone?

Hood: 70k/19BB. I’ll drink to anything close to that for an LSU pitcher next year

Agreed. OF and pitching. Maybe a 3B.

From what i can see, Park threw an inning in 2025 for texas st and pitched in a game this year where he didnt record an out. Played every game at shortstop this year

I wouldn’t mind another infielder.

3rd base is far from locked up and relying on guys to make a jump year 2 is sorta what got us where we are.

We are pursuing other infielders. But they won't be primary shortstops.

Definitely seems like another infielder and OF. After that the focus is probably back on pitching because let's be honest that's really what derailed the season. At the end of the day I trust Jay in whatever he does in however he decides the makeup of the 2027 team.

When you say again, when did we have that the first time?

Because Dickinson wasn't a shortstop.

I will come to his defense here and say we had 3 guys capable of playing SS. Dickinson got the first reps of SS in the Fall before Milam made it undeniable that he was going to start at the position. And Dickinson was kind of rocky playing SS in those intersquads.

You can make the argument 3 guys who all saw time at SS but calling Dickinson a SS is a stretch. He was a very good defensive 2B but he was not a SS.

We had 2 quality SS.

If you really want to stick to this "11 games in 2 years" thing, Milam had only played SS at LSU in 1 game previous to 2025.

It was obvious we had three very capable SS going into 2025 which benefitted us nicely as the season went on.

I would not mind having that again, esp after watching Reaves, Pearson, and Dardar kick balls around the infield all year.

Damn. I really like him as a prospect.

OU does a great job scouting JUCOs and their RC has deep Louisiana ties.

Milam sat out most of the fall with mono and still locked down the SS spot. Dickinson could have managed spot action there, but is clearly better at 2B.

But we also didn't have to pay SS prices for Dickinson, WHICH IS THE frickING POINT OF THE CONVERSATION
