Rumor is the altercation with a teammate happened, TxSt wanted him back for 2027 and he was unwilling to commit. That is what led him to departing the program. It wasn’t wholly a character thing and from what I’ve seen the “fight” wasn’t all that serious

I just read he got into a shoving match with a teammate after he was the final out in a game and coaches had to separate them. That is a little concerning to me but I have faith Jay and company fully vetted him.

I looked at like the last 7 or 8 games for this season and he was their SS in all of them. He may have played 2B in 2025, I didn't look at that.

You're right, i was looking at baseball reference and for whatever reason they have his hitting stats for this season but only fielding for 2025 (not 2026), where he played 2B.

He’s probably so locked the frick in that it’s not even crossing his mind. No ne is more upset than him with how this season turned out.
Having said that, let a damn assistant take over his Twitter because those tiger emojis were fun.

I don't know when they update that, but I've been having to go to player profiles for position games played lately.
I also have an issue on laptop that when Baseball Reference loads, the whole screen is blacked out with a video ad and I can't see any of the stats for like 45 seconds to 2 minutes. Then I get like 30 seconds of looking before it starts again. I haven't been able to use BRef very much for about 10 months now and it sucks. I don't want to pay for ad free, but I'm getting close.

I don’t think this means we are done at SS. I could see Park at 3rd if we pull another.

We have other needs to the point where we're not going to pay two shortstops. And we're not going to pay one of the top 3-4 portal shortstops to come in and not play shortstop.

He wasn't a dead set shortstop. He had only played 11 games there in 2 years at Utah Valley.
And prices have gone up.
