re: Lousiana Tech Report

Posted by lsutgrfan10 on 9/2/25 at 9:54 am to
Southeastern actually out gained LA Tech 272 to 262 and had 18 first downs to LA Tech's 9...

If Southeastern doesn't turn the ball over 3 times in the red zone, it's a whole lot closer game.

Just stay healthy and LSU should be able to name their score here.
A reminder that last year, all but 4 players drafted in the first 10 Rounds signed an MLB contract.

Rounds 1-10: 311/315 (98.7%) signed

Rounds 11-18: 225/240 (93.7%) signed

Rounds 19-20: 34/60 (56.7%) signed
Speaking of Jacob Mayers, he had a good outing in the MLB Draft League yesterday.

4 IP, 4 H, 1 R, 1 BB, 7 K

He’s one of those guys that will probably be better in the pros vs what he was at LSU. Elite stuff.
Not really sure how you missed the two 1:17am walk off wins vs Tenn and Ark.

Those definitely had delayed start times.
Well this thread officially went to shite…

It was fun to follow the portal moves while they lasted.
Thanks to all that contributed actual news.

Here’s to McMahon proving the doubters wrong next year.
Those 4,000 die hards would be louder than the regular 11,000 honestly

I feel like you don’t start this game past 9:30 when you can do a DH tomorrow.

They have to come out with something soon.

Emails sent

Friday tickets sold
Saturday tickets sold
Some more random portal news:

Xaivian Lee (Princeton PG) to Florida
Jaron Pierre to SMU
Chad Baker Mazara in the portal
No Hernandez either which is kinda surprising.

He was No. 83 on D1's Top 100 Prospects for 2025 draft.

Gonna be fun to watch all these guys compete for their spots next year.
It feels weird to not be sweating any draft signings this time of year.

In year’s past, we would be crunching the numbers to see how much a certain MLB team had left in their draft pool and whether it would be enough to sign an LSU commit/player.

Not having any underclassmen or commits drafted in Rounds 11-20 is pretty wild.
There haven’t been many substantial ones in the 2000s

Will Harris in 2006:
- 19 IP
- 202 ABs

Chad Jones in 2009:
- 6.2 IP
- 35 ABs

Austin Bain in 2018:
- 21.2 IP
- 228 ABs

Had 4 in 2022: Cooper, Hasty, Coleman, and Shaffer

Cooper was the only one in the top 11 most used pitchers though.
LSU has 31 wins in their 7 championship years.

They only have 15 wins in the other 12 appearances combined.

Boom or bust in Omaha which checks out from recent memory.
I feel like people are sleeping on Tanner Reaves as an infield starter next year.

Dude is a hit machine.
Herring pitched well tonight

3.2 IP
0 H
0 R
3 Ks
2 BBs
100% real

My buddy still has his somewhere

I’ll see if he can post a pic
Yeah somebody gave a live report yesterday in a thread and said Little was the one getting roughed up.

The 94mph would line up more with him than Moffett.

That was a nasty inning by Holman.

Only threw like 12 pitches.

That breaking ball was the real deal.
