ESPN’s last mock has Fauske going 14 to Tampa and this is in the comment for that pick:

quote:

Keep an eye on Dean Moss, Matthew Fisher, Taitn Gray, Sean Gamble, Landon Harmon, Brady Ebel and Brisen Tweedy at later picks.

lol so Fauske, Moss and Ebel all discussed.

Tampa is 9th in bonus pool money with 14 mil. If they are saying keep an eye on those guys with Fauske targeted that early you have to think they are making it known they are trying to save some money and be able to spread it out vs going top heavy in the first few rounds.

Worked out for us last year with all of the freshman moving in; If memory serves me right we only lost one that actually moved in and ended up leaving (Fountain).

I don’t have any inside info…I just came up with an over/under of 6.5 for HS guys taking the draft $. I think BayTiger took the over there.

I expected Ricken to come to BR, but he’s a stud for sure. I’m sure Jay and Yeskie are fired up.

Draft can’t get here soon enough.

I did take the over. I think Young, Fauske, Ebel, McKenzie, and Sime are gone.

Then I have a toss up with guys like Moss, Hodge, Patrick, Hamilton, and Paz.

I don't have an accurate prediction of those toss up 5 guys (Moss and Hodge if I was forced to choose 2), but my thought process was if I already think 5 are gone and another 5 are a toss up then likely 2 or more get taken from the toss ups. If I'm wrong and it ends up being under 6.5 then it will be a very successful draft class for the Tigers.

I think 7 would still be a pretty damn good draft class all things considered.

I would agree. A huge disappointment would be if the number drafted early got up to 9. 8 I think we can manage but would suck. 7 will be just fine and anything better than 7 will be great.

How many are still committed? At one time I counted 17.

17 is correct if you are just referring to HS.

Class is deep enough that losing 7 to me won’t be back breaking. It’ll suck to lose a lot of really good guys but the class is full of talent. Try and get moss and or Patrick. Ruckert, clauss, and Braun round out the IF. Serna will help with potentially losing hodge. Than you have Zion, ricken, and hopefully Paz, and River would make for an insane RHP haul

Every year, it seems like there is 1 team that just scouted off of our commit list. Tampa might be the team this year

Other than Serna and Ricken, has anyone else pulled out of the draft (for LSU). Keep thinking there is another but may be mistaken.

As long as it's not Baltimore, we'll be okay. They could afford everyone.

They're hoarding picks. They have what 14 picks inside the top 10 rounds? 7 of them being inside the top 100 I think.
