Hodge seems to be leaning pro now.
That's unfortunate; how do you figure he's leaning pro at this point?
Also, do we know which signees, if any, are already on campus? I recall Curiel and Schmidt already being on campus last year.

Jordan recently started following Jakob Wax who was Troy's starting SS last year. He is from Prairieville. He fielded .933.
I really have a hard time figuring out where he would fit on a 34 man roster. I'd rather roll with Clauss or Ruckert as the back up SS. Someone said Ruckert would need to work on his glove, but at least at this point he's only potentially bad as a college shortstop. Wax has proven to be actually bad as a college shortstop. And also can't hit.

Other than Taylor, I've been wondering if they are waiting on the draft before adding more portal guys. Just to see where the roster stands.
I definitely think so. Like someone said earlier there really isn’t a whole lot of top end talent in the portal this year.

Yep, a lot of young, unproven kids. They'll see who is coming to campus, then fill in from there.

Both of these were considered late at the time.
But overall, this is good context. Thank you.

Both waited until the CNT tour ended.
I figure Nate Taylor is on a similar timeline. Larson too which could help with retaining him - if Jay is up to negotiating.

If only Larson could play every game in Cape Cod...
Costello no surprise. I think we all hate losing him.
Dylan Thompson dominating!

I'm going to be annoyed if Fauske goes pro, but Thome's kid makes it to Tennessee.

If tweet fails to load, click here. As expected, Gasparino going west coast.

After the last few years, odd to seeing decent talent flocking to the west coast
Posted on 7/8/25 at 12:05 pm to BayTiger13
Got to think UCLA will be preseason number 1 or 2 next year with that lineup returning and now adding Gasparino.

It's now easier to watch a kid play for UCLA on TV (or streaming) than it was when the Pac12 existed.
I believe that influenced decisions to some degree. Maybe not a lot, but at least some.
