Looks more explosive than sorsby with more big play ability, wonder if we could land both him and Leavitt

Looks really good. Have we been connected to him at all?

He would be a great insurance policy for Sam if that injury becomes a problem.

Isn’t Clark visiting LSU this week?

All of his completions are to wide open receivers and he is running against FCS defenders. Let's not act like he is Diego Pavia. Nice player. Would be good to have on the roster, but he is not QB1.

Well he’s a freshman this year and Pavia is 25 so yeah you aren’t on a level playing field.

Honestly this is the guy I want. Looks really impressive.

Watching Sorsby highlights i wasn’t all that impressed. And i really don’t want Leavitt either.

I think we should go with this guy while we wait out the situation with Chambliss. If Chambliss doesn’t work out, i think this kid is more than fine and cheaper than everyone else

I don't know how you weren't impressed. I'm hard to impress and his film impressed me. Elite runner, tough and slings it all over the field with good accuracy.

Sorsby? If we’re taking pure runner I think Clark looks better than him. Sorsby’s throws don’t seem all that impressive. Mostly hitting wide open WRs in his offense. His deep ball throws seem to be underthrown, not really throwing guys open. Hes probably a good QB in a Lane offense since that’s what he’d do here, but imo a lot of guys could do that at a fraction of the cost. Look say Chambliss coming from D2. I don’t see why Clark couldn’t do that too. There may be better QBs than Clark, or who have faced better competition for sure, but Clark seems more than capable to me. And if you can get him for like 750k and spend the other $4m on linemen, I’d take that every day if the week

Elite runner

I think the kid has a lot of potential and wouldn't be upset to see him on the roster, but there was nothing in that highlight that screams "elite". He's elusive and a solid run threat, sure...but elite? Seems a bit of a stretch.

He averaged 5.8 ypc on 100 carries. That is elite. Only two other QBs in the nation that had 100+ carries had a higher average (Old Dominion's QB and Jacksonville State's QB). Watching the footage, he has excellent vision, weaves through traffic, sheds tackles and outruns people. That's everything I would want in a running QB. I'm sure there are some faster QBs, but he is fast too for a QB at 4.6. We're not getting him, so it doesn't matter, but I was very impressed with his running and his numbers are what they are. He might not run as much at Texas Tech, but it's definitely a significant factor in him being the #1 portal player.

As to comparisons to Clark...Clark is also a very good runner and he only averaged like 3.2 ypc. But I'm sure Clark could probably kill it in a Lane offense. So I'd gladly take him if we can get him.

My mistake, I thought you were initially talking about Clark.

That is an impressive highlight reel but it is a big jump from Elon to the SEC. If he is so good, how did he wind up at Elon?
