I mean he basically ran Polian off(who got a bad rep, imo) in order to totally commit to the "Recruit the Boot" model in recruiting.
While LA is obviously a great state to recruit, it can be cyclical at times, and that is often reflected in LSU's roster.
You could have years without any stud OL, then you can have back to back years where there is a Will Campbell, Emory Jones and Lance Heard in-state, for instance. Just using OL as an example, but same can be said for most positions.

LSU football is about Louisianimals . Dawgs. Savages. Headhunters. Change that at your peril, Coach.
Personally, I miss the Les era defensive swag so much. They were generally ruthless and remorseless and it was amazing. Can we add that to this great offense we have? Jamal Adam’s? Honey Badger? Pat ? Etc

Well then you should be happy that % of players in this class from LA is higher than any other class in recent memory

BK is starting to sound like C. Hallman and Jimbo. They all want 3 more years. Saban never sounded like that.
You people are fricking miserable. Curly Hallman never won more than 5 games in a season! BK doubled that in year 1! Jimbo has been at A&M for 6 years and has never been to ATL. Saban never had to say any of that because the expectations of the program were so low.

Jordy’s message about what he thinks the program should look like rings hollow. He talks about wanting more dawgs and players from Louisiana but is one of the first people to bitch about not signing higher ranked guys like Georgia and Bama. He speaks out of both sides of his mouth constantly and makes hyperbolic statements about everything. In actuality, he really has no idea what it takes to run a program. The only thing he says that’s true is that Brian Kelly has forgotten years of football more than he’ll ever know.

Cool. I’m not sure how BK has managed to win everywhere he’s been without the insights of people like us posting here on this board and Jordy talking about “what needs to be done” on the radio/podcasts

This dude pushed his arse off to get Billy Napier here. Helped to get Orgeron. And is way too close to the Denver Harris situation.
Everyone needs to just take a step back and get a better view. Orgeron let the team completely fall apart his last 2 years and Kelly is trying to fix it. It takes time. I want us to win too but damn no one said give him 10 years before we worry about anything. shite he told everyone before the year started we were a year away.

No way.
I get my news from Jordy and If he says it then I’m buying it.

I get what he is saying in that Kelly should not turn away guys that probably could not meet the academic standards to get into Notre Dame just because he wants certain qualities in players. I promise you, the Georgia's, Alabama's, Ohio State's, etc have guys that probably have no business being in college from a strictly academic standpoint.
At the same time, you can't just go out and sign a bunch of "bad guys" simply because they are incredibly athletic. The coach has to be able to strike a balance.
I think the biggest reason Kelly came to LSU is because there is a wider group of players he can recruit to LSU vs. the restrictions he had at ND. Thus, I don't think he is FULLY recruiting "ND type players". Otherwise, he could have just stayed at ND.

Blind squirrel. I agree tho. Jordy is talking shite about things he doesn’t know. We aren’t recruiting based on gpa lol.

That blueprint is obsolete. It’s called NIL. You gotta pay to play. Selling LSU to players doesn’t mean sqat to big time recruits. LSU needs to pay the big time recruits and win most of these recruiting battles.

I will celebrate the day that Jordy no longer has a show to spout off his ridiculous takes, followed by people posting it here and stirring up the fanbase. He is no friend to LSU.

Honey Badger was the only one in Louisiana that you named.
Jamal and PP might have had ties to La., but neither were in high school here when they were recruited and weren’t considered Boot Boys.

Who is he turning away that fits this bill?

I mean Harold Perkins is not joining Mensa any time soon and Denver Harris was very much a wildcard in terms of makeup.
Concurrently, everyone wants Whit Weeks to play. Who is probably the exact same type of kid they are talking about when they reference prototypical "Notre Dame" players.
Im not sure he is recruiting a type other than kids he thinks can help win football games.

I honestly don’t understand how Jordy has a show.

I really don’t get what he’s trying to say. We are taking more from Louisiana this year than in recent history. Our offense is elite and defense needs a talent infusion. We had some big misses in the transfer portal last cycle. It is what it is. Try to fix it and move onto next year. Why does he always have to be so negative about everything? He can be hard to listen to sometimes.
