We all want a five star player. However, db’s are a dime a dozen and lsu has always had enough good db’s to win.

We fell behind in the trenches. We are correcting the oline, need to work on DT.

We will find a db that will get the job done. It’s really not that big of deal other than losing a kid to bama again. We, along with the rest of the country, should be used to it.

Bama is in a desperate place right now. They feel it slipping. They are buying the best recruiting class in history. It’s funny how it’s not talked about as much as when it was atm.

Uh elite DBs are anything but a dime a dozen.

And 1 eliete DB can allow your entore defensive scheme to adjust by taking out 1 guy from the O. That's HUGE.

Every db gets beat. Jamar chase beat elite db’s at bama. Sting got beat badly by bama. They get beat like everyone else. We will be ok

Yea not having Tyrann in 2012 and DSJ in 2021 was no big deal.

Well, poor coaching and missed fg cost 2012.

You garantee ricks plays every game for three years? Sting and Eli didn’t.

DL and OL are now and forever will be far more important areas for LSU to fill up with blue chip prospects.

We will have a ton of options of very athletic football players coming from Louisiana that can be great DBs. This has always been true.

Do I want the bluechip 5 star dbs to sign with us. yes. However if there is an area that we can figure out if we can't sign those guys...its DB.

DB is one of our weakest units. We need all the elite corner help we can get right now. Acting like it’s no big deal and we can just plug anybody in is wild. Going to LSU doesn’t just immediately make you an elite corner

Just look in the portal… 3 5 start corners there.. Tony Grimes, Fred Davis and Denver Harris…. You never know what you’re getting in theses kids. We will be fine.

“DBs are a dime a dozen” has gotta be the dumbest thing I’ve ever seen anyone say on this board—and that’s SAYIN something

a lot of what you’ve said is down right stupid

but part says this kid is the real deal and would be much needed but another part says he could easily flop like many of the highly rated lsu 4 stars and 5 stars (that’s a long list) the last 3 years

i really hope he doesn’t end up playing like Surtain if he picks bama

We had Ricks and Stingley, two five stars, in 2020 and Mississippi State literally bent us over and made us their bitch through the air. A good to great cornerback is much better in a great defensive scheme.

So our trenches on the D side suck in terms of high school recruits the last 2 years. Was your intention to make me worry even more?

The last 2 "elite" DBs ended up like this, one extremely talented CB had one great year and got snake bit by injuries, the other flashed talent but ended up flashing more of an attitude than that talent. Players can and should be developed. We now have a staff who can do exactly that.

No, trust the man in charge. He’s excellent. He will get this roster built with talent at all positions to compete at a very high level.

He was left a mess. He’s working on it. It’s not something that will be fixed in a year or maybe two. He’s beating teams, like bama, with less talent than they have. Once the peace’s are in place, then we will win a lot more battles than we will lose.

The guy has built 3 programs. All had an undefeated regular season at some point.

You hate to lose great players to a conference rival. But given the choice, DBs are MUCH more replaceable than linemen. There are 10-15x as many small fast guys than there are super athletic big guys.

You can find a serviceable 3 star DB. It’s much harder to find a big time lineman.
