Daniel Jackson the player of the year in college baseball who hit .396 with 31 hr this year, hit 12 hr at Wofford in a full season before transferring to Georgia and hitting .240 with 14 hr last year. Solitaria is 6-5 230 and has 10 plus sb each season at Kent, the dudes an athlete that you can coach up with a ton of potential.

Looking like Wachs gonna be your starting RF.

He'd be a pretty solid pickup IMO, considering he's likely a 7-9 hitter if he starts.
He hit .327 this year at Tulane with 21 doubles and 9 HRs. He hit .335 last year and was basically a full time starter as a Freshman. He's shown consistency.
He had some interesting performances:
2-4 vs UCLA
4-8 vs TCU
3-5 vs Miss St
4-9 vs ECU
3-5 vs LSU 1 HR
Those were all the schools that might compare to SEC competition other than Southern Miss where he went 1-7.

Agreed, average is great, but I’d also think he would need to improve a bit on power getting to double digits. Just watching the stats of some of these guys at Georgia and others in the CWS.

He just slugged .574 as a sophomore.
Vahn Lackey slugged .500 & hit 6hr as a sophomore, for comparison.
Let these kids mature. Not everyone is Dylan crews.

“Just based on stats for these Georgia guys” ok? Lol LSU won a title 12 months ago without having crazy power numbers 1-9. UGA is an anomaly, not the norm. Slug is more than homers. You forget they play at a launching pad at home. They recruit guys that play to their park. It’s not mandatory someone hit 15+ homers to have success in Omaha. We literally just proved it last year.
Some of you make comments as if this is your first year watching teams play.

I remember that dude from this year. They talked about him before the game as being their best player and I’m pretty sure he had a few hits against us and a homer right?

Ready to see some whacks from Wachs

This is him getting his hands in on a 96MPH from Grant Fontenot. On a 1-2 pitch, nonetheless. Looks like he knew what was coming tbh. Really nice swing
