He is a really good player. There defense is pretty salty and he is at the center of it.

Worth saying again

There was a thread on it earlier this week. No! It was not worth saying again.

Should I start a thread about missing on Terry Bradshaw?

We’ll get him to come here for his last year next year after A&M goes 7-5. He almost came here after last season. Come home & have a better chance to win and play alongside Perk. 3 man rotation of Cooper, Whit Weeks, and Penn III…then throw in Perk & it’s tough to turn down. Cooper’s game on the field & personality honestly reminds me a ton of Patrick Queen. Would be a shame if he can’t finish off his career in P&G.

At the time we had a higher rated player at that same position, Webb, who obviously didn't work out. We also had Sampah. I'm not a fan of O by any means but I'm not so sure it was a "whiff" as much as we had guys already committed that we thought would be better. Easy to say picking one guy over another was a "whiff" 3 years later.

That's not even mentioning the fact that the guys we took instead of him never really got properly developed at lsu because as soon as Aranda left our defense fell off a cliff.

Yeah we would’ve melted taking an undersized guy from Covington.

Frick off. Aranda is a beast

To the ones saying O didn’t whiff:

You don’t remember his recruitment.

LSU offered him in the fall. He visited multiple times. He then decommitted from Oklahoma and instead of LSU pushing for his commitment they decided to pass.

Copper ended up at A&M.

It was a miss. They had their chance and passed

Sometimes you hit, sometimes you whiff. It’s OK to say LSU whiffed

La always seems to have some guys that don't get a lot of big offers that blow up at smaller schools. But Cooper was a guy with some legit offers and wanted to be a tiger. Definitely a whiff.

Yeah I agree. It's quite obvious looking at it now 3 years later. My point was when we were actively recruiting him we didn't whiff we passed because we thought we had better guys coming in to fill that position.

Whiffing on his recruitment is what I thought you meant. Meaning we tried desperately to get him and couldn't close it.

Aranda was on his way out the door by the time Cooper signed.
