I thought he was a really good high school quarterback, so maybe he would take a chance on someplace like Kentucky or Mississippi State.
If not, maybe Tulane, ULL or LA Tech. I imagine some of those places would want him, but not LSU.

He is going to the portal. Been told he wants a spot at LSU. Kelly is going to bring in another QB. I guess we will have to see how it plays out.

I dont much about him but don’t think Holstein sounds like the name of an LSU QB.

The Holsteins have Bama in their blood (grandfather I think) and have zero loyalty to LSU despite Scott attending LSU. I'd be shocked if Eli transfers. And even more shocked if his target is LSU.

I've wondered about Holstein as well, but only think it makes sense if Underwood falls through. Seems unlikely he'd beat out Nuss next year.

There’s a reason he isn’t seeing the field at Bama while running their scout squad offense. There’s a reason he wasn’t heavily recruited by LSU - He’s going to have trouble making a SunBelt roster.

This is the stupid broken record idiots on the Rant that perpetuate that story. Same ones that touted Howard as the messiah for LSU
Holstein left STA before Howard was starter QB and went to 5A powerhouse, Zachary, and started 3 yrs and won 1 state championship. He developed himself into a to 10-15 QB in the country while doing that. He could have stayed at STA and played one season and maybe developed into a known commodity which would have been a dumb decision.
Decision to go to Bama?? I think he was butthurt that LSU snubbed his older brother who went to LaTech. Maybe he figures he can go snatch a ring and go somewhere else? Dont know beyond that but it dont look like he will see the field for a while if at all at Bama or LSU.
