Honestly this is a super solid hire. He was a good recruiter when he was here. If we can get past the whole Ben Simmons godfather thing then no one should have problems with this

Hiring current head coaches as assistants usually bodes well for a staff. Having someone with that level of commitment and attention to detail is helpful.

This is a really, really good hire. Recruiting has been on the uptick anyway, but this will take it to the next level.
And it never hurts to have more hands on deck to get Cenac to LSU.

With this hire, I'm pretty sure the current staff has ties to Brady, Johnson, Jones, and Wade
Tasmin Mitchell - played for Brady and Johnson. Coached on Wade's staff
David Patrick - Coached on Jones' staff
Jalen Courtney - Played for Johnson and Jones at LSU
Casey Long - Coached on Wade's staffs at Chattanooga and VCU
Ronrico White - Played for Wade at Chattanooga
If McMahon can get Bob Starkey to come back to the men's game we can put Brown on that list as well!

Why would we need to "get past" the consensus All American and National Freshman of the Year who posted a 19/12/7 average at LSU before being the #1 overall pick?
What I can't get past is that top 10 talented starting 5 in the country roster not even making the tournament and I blame Johnny fricking Jones for that.

It’s nothing to hold over David Patrick. He brought a great talent to LSU. It’s not his fault Ben Simmons turned out to be a complacent, unmotivated player.
Simmons didn’t want to play in college and caused a bunch of locker room issues.
Look at how he’s performed in the NBA. Still hasn’t developed a jump shot.

I’m curious if this is in expectation of getting rid of McMahon in the middle of the season.
