I really wish that AD Woodard gets rid of the LSU Compliance Office and everyone in it!
I've been saying this for a while now, this program needs to stop shooting itself in the feet.

This guy was personally my most coveted and most anticipated recruit since Fournette. It's crazy now that he may become my least favorite Tiger ever. F him.

Nobody is bitching. Just tell people like it is. He’s gone. He QUIT on his team mid season

Hope wherever he goes LSU knocks his block off each time he's in the play. Doesn't even have to touch the ball just hit him.

Am I the only person who disagrees with this? I swear 80% of his routes were within 5 yards of the LOS. I dk if we saw him running up the seam a single time all season--usually it was just a short little turn-around trying to find the soft spot in the zone.
To be clear, I was also expecting more from him than what he showed. But I also don't think we really utilized him to the fullest extent.

He ran the seam some but you are right, a bunch of his routes were 5 and 10 yard outs

Yeah, this was disappointing to me. I thought he should've been utilized running a lot of different routes, forcing LBs into coverage in the intermediate level of the field. Instead, we tried to use him almost exclusively as a short-range yards-after-catch guy, where the goal was just "get the ball into his hands and let him make a play"--which may have worked if we had been creative in trying to get him into space. Nevertheless, I think he would've been a much bigger problem if we'd forced teams to cover him further downfield. When he's consistently catching balls wihtin 5yds of the LOS, there are going to be LBs nearby who can tackle him. To me, it was just a disappointing lack of creativity.
The real bummer to me was seeing how much he improved as a blocker as the season went on. Starting the year he couldn't block anyone--but after a few games he was really holding his own, there (the threat of which helps get him into mismatch situations). So it sucks to see him quit after seeing the flashes of improvement.

Maybe so, but he had 14 catches and 2 TDs in the 1st 3 games before Myles got hurt. He was also banged up in the Mizzou game and there was a pass to the endzone on a seam route (if I recalled correctly) to Tory Carter that would have been to Gilbert if he wasn't hurt.
I didn't notice TJ target him as much as Max did when he was in, but it sure looked like the chemistry was building with Myles before we lost him. He had 6 catches for 97 yards and 1 TD despite missing snaps due to getting banged up.

Yeah, you're probably right. Once Myles went down, it seemed like he was just a pressure-release valve sitting 3 yards downfield. Maybe if we'd have had Myles and Gilbert both for the whole season we'd have seen more intermediate and deep usage. Oh well.

he's actively looking at other schools and you think he's going to come back to the team he quit on?
My post isn't random. I know he's not coming back. Would the coaching staff love to have him? yes, but he is gone. he's been "gone" a while

I’m looking forward to the mental gymnastics done by these clowns when Gilbert is wrecking shop for us next year.
