Kid had his hand out bigtime. Got a bunch of incentives from Mizzou. Talked shite about Baker and People leaving. Barely played and now is leaving. Not sure this is the type of guy we want on our team.

Was he injured? Why pay so much for no production? And now he's leaving?

No one said otherwise

All they said was they will have a previous relationship

they won't be the reason he comes here.

Certainly ain’t gonna hurt.

Which is the point everyone was making.

Particularly given he got low playing time as a 5star they can sell fit scheme and coaching to get him to the big payday in the NFL.

Not all are mercenaries. The challenge for the staff is to filter through players who are money first mercenaries compared to kids who are true performers with longer term goals and receiving proper guidance from family for compensation. The last thing a team needs is paying a lot of money for 1) no production or 2) no actual development into a starter. Waste of money.

I have no idea if he has a relationship with Baker and Peoples, but you are suggesting that relationships have no role in the NIL era and that is just absolutely false.

Transfers are signed regularly due to previous relationships. It's a huge part of recruiting.

No. I'm telling you about this kid. I'm not making statements about any macro themes.

You motherfrickers can't read apparently.

This kid will go wherever he gets paid the most. It's what he did out of high school and what he's doing now.

Tell me more about this before I invest any energy into this kid coming to play for Baker.

the OP's post is misleading. He wasn't the No 1 "overall" recruit.

He was well into November of 2023, I think he dropped in the last couple of ranking updates.

Top 10 is nothing to sneeze at either.

Dumb question, what’s the difference between a five star and a five star plus
Probably a couple hundred thousand in NIL funds.

Didn’t some senator from Missouri pass a bill for NIL so they could sign him? If so SHOCKER got paid played one game and now he is looking for the BEST deal available. Might not be worth the headache with this guy.

Definitely think LSU pursues this guy. Especially with Baker and Peoples on the staff. Baker and Peoples recruited this guy to Missouri.

Which is exactly the same damn thing. If you’re going to post a bullshite “I’m outraged” post, at least make it make sense.

Seems like a good substitute for Stewart but a couple of years older and hopefully more mature.

if this is true and it’s the reason he doesn’t want to play for Baker, it’s the ultimate irony.

Go all out. We have something attached to this because of our coaches. We could be friggin loaded on DL with him in 2 years.

Just another reason why I don't have any reaction/interest for high school recruiting. No point in following it.

To clarify, I wouldn't say I don't follow recruiting. It's just that I'm emotionless towards it.

LSU could have ten five stars committed I wouldn't care one bit about it b/c I know half will flip before NSD and some of the others will transfer out or simply not pan out. It's just the way it is.

Aw c'mon, man

You're not chomping at the bit to invest your time and money into a kid and his family that in return will guarantee you a one year commitment to your team (but maybe not even play the full season), only to move on to the next more ignorant fanatic of another fine institution?

The program with the most fools and their money stands the best chance, IMO
