So we'd finish with 1 4* and 3 3*s - almost the exact same finish as last year and the fan base is pleased with that lol.
We will still be behind Bama, Clemson, OSU because we can't land any big time Olineman consistently.
We should at the very least be pulling in 4 4*s every single class.
Unless this board disagrees and they're happy with with what O is doing on the Oline recruiting trail.

Where is Leigh going?

Fans are pleased that we are addressing our biggest area of need which is OL. No one that I'm aware of doesn't see an issue with us struggling to get high rated OL. This very well could be the final season for Cregg, but my guess is that if he was cut loose now we would be in even worse shape on closing with OL.

I would love to know what makes this guy a 3*. I watch his film and he’s a stud with size, power, and athleticism. You get him in a strength and training program like LSU and he will pack on some weight. His ceiling is extremely high.

Bama is the only of those teams that pulls in 4 4* OL in every class.

LSU has recruited better on the OL than Clemson and it's not even close. LSU had as many OL drafted last year as Clemson has in a decade.
Quit getting so hung up on stars so much, especially for offensive linemen. It's the hardest position to scout and the position that recruiting services AND coaches get wrong the most.
Stars are important, in the big picture. But when judging individual players, not so much.

He doesn’t have SEC caliber offers.

Kimo? Counting LSU he has offers from 5 SEC schools.

He was committed to Florida State, which will rank about middle of the SEC when recruiting is completed.
Do you not consider half the SEC as "SEC Caliber?"

Any interest in crawford? Or has that ship sailed?

Personally, I like Cade more for this slot but I'd be just as happy to see Makaneole in there. He's an absolute take and his skills/ability are more than enough to make up for a frame that isn't exactly what we're looking for (but is just fine for his position).
The rating sites have a problem with linemen because they are looking to give stars/points to high school linemen with "NFL metrics". Yes, it will matter at the combine. But in the next 3 to 4 years there are other overriding concerns/metrics for an OL coach to worry about. And Kimo checks many of those boxes.
I absolutely love his ability to move, including pivot. And before you can block somebody, you have to get there first (before they do).

What a dumbass statement. You need to pay better attention.

There’s your answer. A higher rated guy is already more developed.

Do you ever get tired of making shite up? There are plenty of 4 stars that are higher rated based on potential alone.

So you think that two guys who are alike in every way, except one is less developed, will be ranked the same? Or maybe even the less developed one higher?
