You can't go wrong with either of these. If you're going to be buying a decent amount you might see if one of them would give you a contractor account. You get a pretty significant discount.

Recently used Farrell Calhoun for the first time and was incredibly pleased. Especially at the cost which was a fraction of the cost of the others you listed.

I like Farrell Calhoun for its paint protection properties. It's a southern company and the anti-mildew properties are very good.

I used Ferrel Calhoun for years but it was too hard to get there during their normal business hours. I switched to Sherwin Williams and wont go back

Was going to post just this in terms of brands actually listed.

I would also say that Behr is also a can't-go-wrong brand. Behr generally gets very high ratings, top in CR.

The guys at Ferrell Calhoun in Denham Springs are top notch.

I always recommend Benjamin Moore Regal Select for bedrooms and den, etc. But I prefer FC for trim and exterior stuff.

Both are quality stuff. Used to live Devoe but hard to find now.

A previous neighbor works for PPG and set me up with his pricing on his largest account. Get paint for about half the cost. Their speedhyde is a decent interior/exterior paint. Seems to cover pretty well and no issues with it really.

I've done a lot of painting of houses----interior and exterior and my 2 go-to paints are Sherwin-Williams and Benjamin Moore.

Both offer a few different lines of product from Rental Grade for quick repaints to freshen up to rent again to their top of the line products.

I stick to the top of the line stuff or maybe one grade below depending on what is being painted, kids involved, pets, etc.

Plus their stuff comes in different sheens from basic flat to a semi-gloss.

No good paint is cheap today, but you will find if using the cheaper paints out there, you will be painting more coats to get the coverage, so it pretty much works out the same as far as cost when your time is figured in.

It’s a mixed bag of brands for me: Benjamin Moore ceiling paint, S-W emerald for interior or exterior, Coronado for trim. Ferrel Calhoun is good but you’re going to need an extra coat compared to a top tier S-W or Benjamin Moore paint. I and many others had awful experiences with S-W trim paint with it running, not laying flat, foaming and other issues. I switched to Coronado for trim and it’s like heaven painting with it.
