What is your general opinion on furniture from Wayfair?
I've gotten a table and a bench, seems good, but not sure yet how it will hold up.
Prices were good, especially compared to insane price stores like Ethan Allen.

I have 4 barstools from Wayfair that are 4 years old. One of them is peeling but otherwise these stools are in very good condition. For the price I paid I am happy.

I bought a desk from Home Depot a couple years ago and it is holding up well. The same desk was offered on multiple sites and HD had the best price.

I have recently purchased some dining chairs from Ballard Designs and Wal Mart. Very happy with the chairs.

What kind of furniture?

We have two coffee tables that have held up well. Chairs, not so much.

The kids have beds from there but would suggest something more solid for a master bedroom set or couches.

Wayfair has three or four other sister stores, and is the cheapest. Maybe check the others for better quality?

For future, any kind, I suppose.
We have gotten kitchen chairs and a kitchen table. Plus a upholstered chair for the living room. They all seem fine, were fairly easy to assemble.
I haven't had them long enough to attest for durability.

Unless you have kids jumping on things, most Furniture should hold up well enough. A table just has to be a table. No moving parts or anything.

I find the reviews on Wayfair are pretty good. The Q&A from the Wayfair employees is also usually helpful.

Some stuff is going to come in 100 pieces and take hours to build. But I have purchased several very nice pieces that required little or no assembly beyond like screwing knobs into cabinets. They carry brand names that are also available elsewhere in some cases.

They probably do have some cheap crap, but I have been pleased with most of the large things I’ve purchased, and their customer service is great too.

Some stuff we’ve gotten from wayfair has been nicer than stuff we’ve bought from furniture stores.

Most recently we got a chandelier that was nicer than the ones we got from the fancy lighting stores when our house was built.

We bought our outdoor wicker patio furniture from there. It's only been two years, but it's held up great at a way cheaper price than most other places.

Only things I've bought from Wayfair were some light fixtures and a couple of small accent pieces of furniture. All have been fine, especially considering the prices I paid for them all.

I'd consider buying larger pieces of furniture from them.

I bought a 60" bathroom vanity from them. Marble top was cracked upon delivery, they let me keep the base and get a new top fabricated locally, and reimbursed me for it. I like their customer service, and the furniture pieces are solid.

Absolutely LOVE Wayfair. Can't say enough good things.

You can get some VERY good deals on average to above-average quality furniture.

The things I get on there for $300 is insane when you compare it to anything else.

I've had ONE issue and I've been ordering for 4-5 years from them. A coffee table I ordered came in slightly cracked. They sent me a new one ASAP and told me to keep the old one.

PRO TIP: Read the reviews and look for photos. Sometimes you can find 15+ photos of the item you want to purchase taken on a normal camera by a regular person. The community on that site is just as good as the price/service.

We recently bought a leather couch and love seat from Birch Lane, which is a part of Wayfair, I think. We love them! Having said that, we've only had them a couple of months and they don't get all that much butt traffic, so who knows what the future will bring?

You can also look at what the furniture is made of. The cheap stuff is probably MDF. The more expensive pieces can be solid wood but still good value. I’ve been happy w the few pieces I’ve bought but made sure they weren’t MDF crap

I've bought a good bit of furniture from all modern/Wayfair. Everything from patio sets, beds, desks, chairs, light fixtures etc.

Stick with the pieces with plenty of reviews and you will be fine. There is a ton of variety in price points and quality, so don't expect solid wood on the low end stuff. The customer service, as others have mentioned, is excellent. We had a problem with a desk that was damaged in shipping. They asked for some pictures then shipped a new one immediately and gave us a coupon for our next purchase.
