I’m pretty sure it’s these tiny white flies that are all over my tree that keep doing this to my new growth. I’ve been using Bonide Orchard Spray to no avail. Suggestions?

It’s for all bugs. Works great on all shrubbery because if I don’t use it, the white flies here near False River will overtake everything with leaves.

Leaf miners do not affect fruit quality. Just makes leaves unsightly.

Leaf damage hinders the plant from growing properly. The leaves are needed for photosynthesis. Damaged leaves results in less food being made by the plants for their own use.

yep, needs to be systemic. Any residual spray wont stop the moth from laying her eggs.

Use Neem Oil, you have to smother them.

Neem oil is effective against a wide range of common garden pests, including aphids, spider mites, whiteflies, mealybugs, thrips, caterpillars, and leaf miners. It disrupts their hormonal balance, feeding, and reproduction cycles.

I have been spraying my Meyer lemon and some of my plants, mostly hibiscus, outside with Neem oil. Do you recommend that or something else.

Thanks for all your advice

Any concern with a systemic making its way into the fruit?

Do not use systemic insecticide on any plant you intend to consume.
