You can only pick one.

Channel locks is mine. I don't know how I survived without them before.

12V Cordless impact driver. I have a bigger one but the 12V takes care of 90% of my projects.

Coming from a plant baw, there’s absolutely nothing I can’t do or fix with channel locks.

My block and Jack plane are sweet. But my Festool Domino is the best. Totally unnecessary and not used near as much as other tools. But it's easy, accurate, clean, and fast. I love it.

Speed square. Not so much for the doing, but for the prep.

Battery powered oscillating tool.

Get the correct blades and you can cut wood, metal, drywall, etc all with one tool.

Second favorite is you tube.

I've easily saved 10k in the last two years doing stuff myself. I'm pretty diy inclined with general knowledge of most household stuff. But if I ever have a question, YouTube has the answer.

Have you tried the Knipex Cobra or Alligator versions? I prefer the Cobra and especially the newest fine adjustment version.

If you are a real lover of adjustable pliers you really need to get a pair of Knipex Pliers Wrench. The flat parallel action jaws make them great for soft materials like plastic and brass but also prevent you from marring steel like typical adjustable pliers do. One thing that is cool is when you have them on a nut you can hold them tight just by pushing in the upper handle, no need to squeeze at all.

That is a great (best?) traditional block plane design. I tend to prefer Lee Valley designs for planes better and I am also a sucker for their PM steel blades. But my favorite block plane to use is the Bridge City HP9 dual-angle block plane. I bought mine before John sold to Harvey in China so I can't recommend buying them even though most people say the quality is similar to the American-made ones because I don't buy Chinese-made tools. Like all of John's tool designs his planes are functional art.

I also have the depth skids which I use primarily for thicknessing Holly for inlay stringer

I have a ton of "favorite" tools because I am a certifiable tool geek/nut. However, one I think is my favorite general use tool is the Bosch 12v brushless Flexiclick drill/driver 5 in 1. I use it for 90% of indoor DIY uses when I need a drill or driver. The size and attachments have saved me a lot of headaches over time. I have an assortment of Festool and Hilti drills and impacts in my woodworking shop but I keep the Flexiclick and the 12v impact in the garage and rarely have to go to the shop for something else. I imported mine when they were only available in Europe and mine was made in Switzerland but they switched production (at least for the US market ones) to Malaysia. Dewalt and Milwaukee have knocked the setup off but Chinese manufacturer prevents me from considering them.

I have to agree. Replacing exterior caulking on windows the scraper blade is awesome to remove old caulking quickly. Also projects like soffit or facia door jamb repairs, this tool is invaluable for cutting precicely in tight spaces.

Laser level.

I do have a soft spot for my M12 impact. Tiny but it packs a neat little punch

I don't use it very often, but a cheap tool that's gotten me out of tough binds is this Screw-Holding Screwdriver.
