It's with Terminix and I've had them for 8 years now. I'm tired of paying this each year but I'm afraid of going without the guarantee.

Should I just continue to treat the perimeter with Taurus SC without a contract or should I pay it for the peace of mind?

Obviously different state, but unfortunately that is what we are paying.

I looked at competition but it is extremely expensive to start a new bond.

Anybody do it themselves? Order some bait and stick it in the little holes ever six months? Seems easy enough.

That's the price...I believe it comes with a guarantee if I'm not mistaken

Terminix reviews online are atrocious. Scary actually. If you have to file a claim you're basically screwed.

Hopefully, that wouldn't be the case, but I didn't like what I read.

Who is your guy in Lafayette? I just paid $290 for contract renewal with J&J Exterminating. We paid for the Sentricon system last year.

Seems high for the annual amount. Depends on your square footage. But I think you also get insurance in case an infestation causes any damage, so that's worth having even if you prefer to self treat

I do it myself. I was told that my wooden deck touching my house would void my contract if I got termites anyway. Also any trees or shrubs touching the house could void it too according to what my old termite guy told me. Anyone else been told this?

just started a new bond. $550 for the first time, like 150-200 every year after.

Just renewed mine with a local company for $95/year.

Talking to another local guy that I wanted to switch to, it only makes sense to switch if you are up for a full re-treatment because they would have to do a full initial treatment anyways, or if your price is that high to begin with...

The only reason I'm paying for a contract is because my mortgage company requires it. Once my house is paid off I can put the chemicals in the ground myself..

If that house was treated 8 years ago, its doubtful you will get termites for at least 20 years or more. If they used termidor, which they probably did, you can push that number to 40 years.

I wouldn't pay them more than $120 a year for them coming out for 30 minutes to say u dont have termites.

That is way to high. 200 per year for a 7800 sq foot house.

I had them and the guarantee covered treating. Not fixing the house.

Read the contract because they aren’t much better than a shingle contract. Neighbor is finding out now it is a fight and he has it with Arrow.

I have never purchased a termite contract in my 30 years of home ownership and owning multiple rental properties. I have paid to have my house treated twice which cost about $800 total.

If in Lafayette area. Call Termite Solutions. Brian the owner is a great guy to deal with. I think I pay $100-150/yr. He just treated my house because of a new contract. Absolutely hated my previous termite company.
