What do you ride?

I have an older Obrea (I don't remember the model). I was lucky enough to find a used frame in good shape with low miles.

Edit: It's a 10 speed dura ace with FAS carbon cranks up front.

Mine wanted one too. I said NO. We already have a gym membership, elliptical, real bike, and treadmill that does not get used.

oton.

She wants to use the Peloton for the yoga classes too.

Download the peloton app on Amazon fire or your smart tv. Have her do a few yoga classes. If she likes it’s, just get the peloton.

My biggest weight savings was in the wheels (American Classics). Again, I don't remember the model but they are light as a feather.

But as the old saying goes, the cheapest way to lighten your bike is to lighten yourself.

I didn't see that package option on their site.

Awesome! I hope you enjoy your first ride in August once it finally arrives.

Just bought. The nicer one with swivel screen and stuff.

$2,400 - could be worse.

Arrives April 13th!

Take some shirts and pants with you to look at options.

Lay the clothes on the Peloton. Evaluate wrinkling, etc

Repeat process.

At least that’s how I evaluate exercise equipment.

I'm with you there - but my wife is a different breed.

I'll use this thing once a month, she might use it every day.

If she already has a nice road bike the wahoo like provides the whole peoloton experience for a heck of a lot less.
My wife has one and loves it

I love Zwift but it's a completely different animal than the Peloton. It definitely tracks metrics like the Peloton but it's just a different experience.

Get the Peloton. You seem confident she will use it and enjoy its extra features.

For all the cyclists recommending buying a real bike and sending her outside, do yall realize large parts of the country have zero infrastructure for outdoor road cycling? Especially Louisiana. Its like a death trap on a La road. I would never let my wife ride on a La highway.

My wife and I are avid cyclists, but after having a kid we both put the brakes on road cycling. I have had to many close calls with drivers not paying attention.

We got mtn bikes instead because we are lucky to have a bunch of mtn bike trails and crushed granite bike trails to use.

Op, since your wife will use it and enjoy the workout while taking care of your kids, buy her the Peloton. Its the best for her usage.

Boflex C6. 1K and everything a bike needs. Use your own Ipad and subscribe to services if desired.

I thought about getting that cheap Echelon Chinese knockoff of Peloton to keep my legs up in winter when I got into mountain bike riding during the pandemic. Might be worth checking out. I herniated a disc in my lower back and that killed my riding for a year or so, so I gave up looking.
