Understanding belly fat
This article isn’t very in-depth, but touches on a lot of the causes of belly fat. Each one deserves it’s own article.
First understand the “why”, then you can adress the “how”.

You’ll lose weight eating 1,519 calories but not nearly as quickly as if you’d cut the shite:
Toast and corn
Because you eat those carbs your body burns those carbs while it stores the eggs and butter.
You want to burn the fat and store nothing. So don’t give your body carbs.
But you did pretty well today

So much easier when I was a young man, lol.

Reading that article now. I live by HIIT and go heavy 2X month to gauge strength. Thanks for the article.

It really depends on his goals and his frame. I’m 5’8” myself, and if I were 152-155 I’d look like a starving marathon runner. I look best around 180 and still hit my lifting goals each week.
For OP, cut out the cookies and protein bars. Shakes generally have less sugar and fillers and they’re cheaper too if you’re buying in bulk. Cut it down to one piece of bread if you must have it and eat more meat.
Also, try doing some wind sprints. If you’re anything like me, you probably hate distance running because (a) it sucks, and (b) you don’t want to lose those strength gains. Start off with a few 100 meter sprints and go from there. 20 minutes once or twice a week at most does the trick for me.

Or, you can just burn more than 1500 calories a day and the net affect is still having to burn body fat. You replace the carb calories with fat calories and still dont burn them, they'll store as body fat as well.

Let's get some other details, OP.
Age
Avg Sleep hrs each night
How's your stress?

I’m 5’11 and I still look fat at 175
Going to get down to about 165. Don’t think I’ll have a problem as I will be a starving marathon runner.

Yeah, it all has to do with frame. I have a 44 inch chest and wear 33 inch pants. I’m a short fricker but I’m wide.
Sprints is something I have to do. I need to do some track work. I guess I started this thread to hear a lot of the things I knew but was too lazy to do. I’m determined to capture my youth by hook or by crook.

I mean, I’m married, have a 9yr old daughter, all of the bills associated with catholic school, cars, house, etc. I don’t live stress free, but I also know I’m blessed.
EDIT: I have CFS and when it rears its ugly head, sleep can go up to 14-16hrs a day. The gym helps keep it at bay, coupled with intermittent naps.

Yeah I'm 5'11" and 180 and I'm not at all satisfied with how I look. I'm also targeting 165 lbs. But I've lost 12 lbs throughout the last month and a half, so I'm making progress. It's really encouraging when you start to see results.

I’m 5”11 185 and ripped you need to lose serious weight if your only 5”6.

I need to lose 19 lbs...
I bench 315 and have a 44in chest and wear a 33 size pants. Even when I had a 6 pack I never weighed less than 165lbs. I bet you dollars to dimes I have a much wider frame than you. If you met me, you would not describe me as fat. I’m currently at 18% body fat. At 170 I would be at 9%. If you are absolutely shredded, you are probably at 6%.

Some people don't understand different body types
Clyde Hellaire is 210 at 5'8"
I wouldn't consider him fat. Just extremely muscular
