As a supplement of course and not main source of protein.

I’ve been drinking one on the way to work. Easy way to hit 15g of whey.

Um, the bottle says 15g of protein.

How much are they apiece? Drinking two would be 140 calories and 30g of protein.

Not bad for a drive in to work.

Calorie to protein ration is good. Seems like a fine choice.

Why does it take away from net carbs? I guess it can't be digested?

Not to completely derail the thread, but erythritol is supposedly linked to increases in strokes and heart attacks. I don't know the validity of the studies. They could be legit or complete BS, but it was a hot topic about a year ago. I'm sure 777 or someone more knowledgeable will chime in on it. I'm personally working on avoiding artificial sweeteners (and sugar/sweets in general for Lent).

"...your small intestine absorbs it quickly and gets it out of your body through urine within 24 hours. This means erythritol doesn't have a chance to "metabolize"—turn into energy in your body." From WebMD.

To further derail the thread, is monk fruit pretty much the safest artificial sweetener?

I would think monk fruit and stevia are probably the safest

If you don't mind some sugar content I find brown coconut sugar is a decent option

This seems like it costs money when you could just drink tap water

I can't eat/ drink foods with it. Causes some serious bloating/ distended stomach.

Hate the BS they put in everything.

I go back and forth between the two and haven't noticed anything different. The little squeeze bottles of liquid. I don't put much in my coffee, but the first cup in the morning I add a tiny squirt. After that I just refill it without adding anything. To me it tastes better than the granulated or powdered version of Stevia. Doesn't clump up in the coffee cup either.

is 15 grams of protein really worth that? Are you struggling to get enough protein through meals?

I think the allure is the calories to protein balance. An additional 15 grams of protein in the diet usually comes with a lot more than 70 calories tied to it
