I love my run group. I always run faster and push harder when in the group. Lots of tips and tricks and help.

I miss my run groups. They were so helpful, both in conversation and in support. Richmond had some great groups, whether you wanted an early morning or an after work or a weekend, regardless of pace. If anyone here has access to a run groups, take it.

I could participate in a run group but I'd need to travel 45 minutes to Syracuse. I was really hoping to bring out some locals earlier in the year to form a group, but it's tough to start one in a large town/small city without meeting in person.

Little things like shoe lacing, different stretches for different problems, etc, etc. Just being around people that have been running for decades is beneficial.

Best Line Ever-

BRM "Also seems to me that if you can’t run by yourself, you might not like running"

depending on others to handle your business is the worst running / life plan.

Roots,

Just like KsNola's comments above, running is very much like life.

I can only control what I can, f__k the rest & no reason to worry about it.

My nutrition, training, hydration, and pace strategy is all I can bring to Arkansas.

My coach said , hey , that's worse than any Woodlands Full Marathon on record so it can only get better haha.

Have not posted here in a while, as my 2020 running has been sporadic and hampered by injuries. But I finally started seeing a sports PT who has me doing exercises to stretch my achilles and strengthen my calf muscles. Also working on my running form. I have not pulled my calf in a month, and have strung together 3 solid weeks of training including a ten miler last Saturday. Good to be back running.

Temps keep climbing boys. That race is snake bit for sure. It’s like this more often than not.

Are you going to try and log 4,000 miles this year?

If it happens it happens, I think I actually would have benefited from less milage this year.

That's how I felt about my mileage last year. You've been an absolute machine this year. Would be cool to see you reach that big of a number.

Anyone running the Wild Azalea 27 Miler in January? There is also a 50 mile option as well.

Got in 5 miles this AM. Little cold and breezy here in Bham today. 8:56 pace. Average HR was 159. Very happy with those numbers. Hills on Thursday. Hip is still stiff. Going to start a mobility program this week and see if that helps......
