“Run times” constant 9+. Which is fine for a grown middle aged man or someone trying to get into shape. Running that as a teenager would be considered shoddy.
Kid might be a stud if he cut his rides to 1/4, runs to 1/2 and got after it once and a while.

Glad to see you’re still at it roots.
I do still run occasionally. We started doing a remodel in April... that got pushed to September.
Whole family is cooped up in a one bed room garage apartment and I was told under no uncertain circumstances was I to set 5 AM alarms other than my Saturday group run. So between having to take dogs on walks 4 times a day, my work needing me to work through lunch more often, and having no space, my runs the next few months will be short and long between.
On the plus side my wife is giving me a ton of closet space after the remodel for my shoes that hardly get used any more.

Congrats to Kballa6 who had an Instagram model drop some fortune cookie wisdom in his 2 mile run today.
*edit to add* Looks like she is after HB also.
Looks like the TD run club is full of true international studs...guess BRM isn't her type haha.

What is going on with Strava? Are they getting desperate for users/advertisement revenue that the bots are taking over?

McVick,
If we run faster we might find out ??
Hell, it might be the high school kid's girlfriend creeping on his competition !

It’s because I got a face like someone drew a Disney villain with their left hand.
Edit:
Oh, and my profile is not public anymore. Reported though, and if they get bold and join, I’ll boot their arse from the group quicker than... I don’t know, insert some Cajun idiom.

She got me too on my 7 miler this morning. Some wisdom nugget about letting go of my past.
My first thought was "thank God my wife doesn't have strava so I don't have to explain this damn shite"

Got 4 in at a 9 pace this morning. It almost felt criminal how little effort it took in that temp rather than what it was like just 2 weeks ago.

It’s like taking the weight off the bat. Feels so damn good

Haha, I saw that. Had no idea what it was at first.
19 today, didn’t feel too bad. Pretty consistent, but can tell the strength in my legs is my weak point at the moment.

I’m coming up on the end of my 8 week 10k McMillan training plan, and I am debating whether I should do a half marathon or a 5k Plan next. I have never trained for a half, so it’s basically wide open for a PR, which is always a worthwhile training goal. The upside of the 5k plan is I can work on my speed and crush Some strava segments along the way.

What 10K are you running? Goal?
Posted on 10/4/20 at 10:25 am to TigeRoots
I don’t have a race lined up, so I will probably just do a time trial next week and shoot for a sub 40 10k.

Sub 40 is moving pretty good
Got 20 miles in this morning. I was so tired afterwards.

New Orleans Urban Ultra Race Report from the weekend -
If anyone in the area is looking to make the jump to the ultra distance this is a great race to get your feet wet next year. 50k and 50 mile option that take you through pretty much the entire city. 5 stocked and volunteer supported aid stations along the 50k route. Mixed level entry field. 50k Winner ran 3:08 and last finisher was 8:00 so you'll have someone to run with you along the way if you want. $75 entry fee got you a tee shirt, finisher medal, pint glass, and 4 pack beer from local brewery. All proceeds are donated to support local charities such as Youth Run NOLA.
I ran the 50k. it ran 1 mile long. finished 2nd in 3:57. I didn't know what to expect since I didn't have a focused training plan over the summer. so i ran smart for once and didn't chase early.happy with results and sets me up for a good base if I'm gonna run Gulf Coast. More import my GF ran the 50 miler in 7:25.

Nice. Sub 40 is a standing goal of mine. If you're around BR, they are holding the Northshore 5/10K races in Mandeville on Sunday this coming weekend.

50 miles on pavement? Wow.
only did a MTB ride over the weekend.
6.3333 miles today and easy pace.

For me, that’s better than 50 miles of staring at my feet and most likely eating shite half way through the race. I’d actually do an ultra or two if more were on pavement.
Speaking of pavement, White River’s likely to be a burner. Been talking to some folks and I’d imagine 20 or so folks should go sub 3 with half of those being in sub 2:50 shape. Probably 3-4 sub 2:40s.

Goodness. I need to find me someone that’s looking to go high 2:5X and run with them
