Mine goes down when my fitness improves.

I don't know about the more expensive devices, but the cheaper Garmins have been pretty unreliable and inaccurate for VO2Max in my experience due to a number of factors.

I did 5 at 9:30 yesterday and didn't even realize i was about a minute faster than I had been running in August. Just feels so easy.

Damn. Mines just getting back into the low 50s. Mine shot down to like 48 or 49 when it was crazy hot.

F this rain. I've been trying to get out and run since Sunday afternoon with no luck. Heavy rain and sidewalks are flooded due to road construction. I'm hoping we can get a break in this today.

I haven’t missed a run due to it, but it feels like I’ve been running in damn Hurricane conditions for a month now. Can’t complain though, it’s a break from the heat.

And what about Chicken randomly swooping in and asking Burt his age then bailing... Ha, I thought that was odd; does he realize who he’s talking to? LMAO

Who would have thought Chicken would be creepin' in the running/marathon training thread? I sure didn't.

I did 4x1 mile at 5k+ Pace. The workout called for 4-5, but I was fading on the fourth and had only mentally prepared myself for four. I need to find a 5k or 10k to test my fitness next month.

First run in two weeks. Thought the cooler weather would make it seem a little easier...nope. Same pace as usual.

Heart rate was way off too. My watch was reading 30bpm higher than usual on the same route at the same paces. Gonna chalk that up to a watch anomaly...no way I was at 185bpm 2 miles in at a 9:15 pace.

Some HR monitors seem less reliable after not being used for a while. I don't know why that is, but I have noticed it too.

I have a low of 39 in the forecast for next week. Can't wait!

That was my guess too.

I’m seeing lows in the high 60’s for NOLA. Praying that pattern holds. Last two “cold fronts” ended up not doing much. I’m so ready for fall and winter temps here.
