So I’m in need of some new running shoes soon. I’ve been wearing the Brooks Ghost 13 for around 2 years now. I run roughly 4x a week at around 6km each time. I run strictly on roads, and have been trying to push my time and have quicker sessions. Just wanted to hear yalls recommendations on some of the newer shoes that are available.

My preferred budget is around 150 bucks

I love my hokas, and at $150 you have several options. I currently have the Clifton 7s and when they wear out I’ll switch to the carbon x

My recommendation is to not listen to anyone’s recommendation. Including me.
Running shoes are personal and what may be great for one person may be bad for you.
Find a store that does a full analysis including video of you running on a treadmill.
That said, ASICS Gel Cumulus are the ones for me.

I do trail running and have switched to Saucony but they also make some really good street shoes too.

I’m running in brooks glycerin 19s, I really like them as I run exclusively on pavement.

I went from several lower leg issues to zero ever when I switched to Hoka and the Cliftons are still fast shoes. They make lighter shoes for race day, but as far as a maximal protection trainer, they are light as hell!
