They took out the barcode scanner for free version. I deleted it after that. What are some good alternatives?

Carbon app. I think it’s $10/month. I used it for a couple months and really liked it.

Change your location to the UK. Scanner will then work for free. Or at least mine does.

explain further please.
Got it. Didn’t see location. Only saw timezone when I first looked. It works!

I've tried other apps but keep coming back to MyFitnessPal.
I haven't found another app yet that has the food database that MFP has.

I use a spreadsheet. It works for me.

So I've used a bunch for a week.
MacroFactor and Loseit! were the top two for me.
MacroFactor is my favorite layout but it has no free version so it's out. It's something like 11.99 a month. It recalculates calories based on weight loss but Loseit! seems to do that too for free
Loseit! has great widgets and everything is easy. Nothing to complain about and there hasn't really been a food I haven't seen on it.
MFP new UI is absolute garbage and I couldn't stand it even with the barcode fix.

I have no complaints with LoseIt

I'm on lose it. For $40 for the year and like $80 for a lifetime, it's a really nice app.

Pretty bummed the free version of lose it took away the macro view with total grams.

I use the widget and it shows me. Otherwise, in the app I just click on the macro % and it shows the grams.
