the ten thousands are great workout shorts. I like them much better than the Under Armours. Unfortunately they dont have the pockets that I want. The cell phone pocket is pretty small and hard to use. Theres another pocket in the butt crack crack area but im not using that in public.
Its hard to explain what im looking for. Those Patagonia shorts were perfection. Two front and two back pockets. All "envelope" pockets meaning theres no extra material inside. The pocket is just a space between the shorts and the liner

ex officio sport mesh 9” briefs
Man dont get me started on the Ex Officio's. I will never own another brand of underwear. I like the 5" Give N Go boxer briefs. I think I have some that are 10 years old.
I have some unique preferences. I want a pair of shorts with a boxer brief liner and envelope pockets. When I backpack, the boxer briefs are really important to prevent chafing. Ultra lightweight is also important for backpacking. But I also like to wear them in the gym and around town. The pockets are useful for my keys, wallet, and phone. I cant believe Patagonia ditched the boxer brief liners for the briefs. It was the perfect pair or shorts. Brooks has a similar style but for some weird reason they show my plumbers crack if I even slightly bend over.

I like that I can go to Lulu store and exchange them if something is wrong with them. Main reason I haven't looked anywhere else.

I picked up some good ones from Old Navy, 7” with the liner shorts for $24 (after a 40% promo they were running).

I picked up some lightweight muay thai shin guards and they're solid—don’t shift around much and don’t feel bulky at all. I’ve used them for both kickboxing and MMA sparring, and they hold up great. If you're used to thicker gear, these feel way less restrictive, which makes drills way smoother.

I can't bring myself to workout out in expensive arse rhoback or bird dog shorts, so usually just wear those for days I have to run errands.
I'll lift in gymshark, gym reapers, or squat wolf gear

The BCG shorts that Academy carries are solid. I love em. I prefer the 5" or 6" shorts. They have another one (forgot the length) that have the longer liners built in. I prefer the non lined ones.

The best ones that I ever bought were some cotton ones off Amazon.

Can anyone identify any that have this combo:
zipper pockets
7"
NON-TIE DRAWSTRING??? This is the one I just can't find. I want the ones that have an elastic waistband but you DO NOT HAVE TO TIE.

I have some adidas running shorts from academy. They have 5in and 7in length they have a liner and have a zippered pocket middle of the back that fits a iPhone and are elastic waist but also tie strings side pocket but no zippers on them. I have multiple pairs of various lengths for running and working out.
