I crave sugar all day. I feel like a heroin addict.

I can relate.
I was actually rocking back and forth on the couch one night.

Sugar free candy (the good ones) helped at first.
Then Coke Zero and Dr. Pepper Zero.
Then Fairlife protein shakes.
Then peanut butter.
Try any combination of the above.

And what kept me on the wagon once I hit a stride, having a cheat DAY. One day of the week I blow it out of the water.

I’m the same way until I get a few days under my belt without it. Being strict with IF helps me fight those late night sugar cravings which is when it hits me the worst.

Intermittent fasting. Look it up. Eat/consume calories within a limited time frame each day, like 10 am to 4 pm, for example. No calorie intake otherwise.

Sweets are good, but if they are not in the house, I'm not fussed about it.

My Kryptonite are the "salty bits" like chips, pretzels and other salty snacks. Those are just as bad, if not worse since most of them are fried and loaded with empty calories.

I will try IF. If I can just kick the sugar, I think I can lose weight.

Before I did IF I’d get a craving around 9 or 10 and start thinking about what we had to eat. Once I did that it was over. Now, if I’m not being a bitch, I get a craving and think oh well can’t eat and it goes away. My brain doesn’t obsess over it.

Not sure what kind you eat but mine has none in it.
We’re also comparing against candy and soft drinks.

Chew gum !

I have been trying to straighten out eating habits lately, and like you, I crave sugar. When the craving hits I grab some gum and it really helps.

Sugar cravings can be curbed if you can control your urges. Time restricted eating is a practice of controlling one’s urges. If you can abide by a strict window of eating, then you can conquer cravings.

Dr. Pepper Zero.

I hope you have better luck finding it consistently than I do. Where I live it’s like they use the “zero” for everything but REGULAR Dr. Pepper Zero. Nobody wants the cream soda zero trash, but it’s more prevalent than regular zero.

If you like root beer the A&W root beer is really good too.

Be careful with IF. I tried it and had some success but it’s real easy to turn your “breaking the fast” meal into a total binge. God forbid there are sweets available.

not sure what all the downvotes are about. It's a Fact that most peanut butters are chock full of sugar and/or high fructose corn syrup...it's the second listed ingredient meaning it's the second largest by quantity.

Peanut and other nut butters: Peanut butter might seem to be a savory treat, but it is actually very sweet. Many peanut butter manufacturers add sugar, and some add HFCS. The same is true of some other nut butters, such as cashew and almond butter.

I wouldn't say that 2g of added sugar is "chock full" and you can buy organic with no added sugar for pretty much the same price.

When the only two ingredients are peanuts and sugar, of course sugar is going to be the second largest ingredient.

Bruh, there are tons of healthy nut butters without sugar. No one serious about fitness is eating peter pan or jif.

. No doubt but plenty of rookies read this board for advice. If you're gonna say just peanut butter you need to mention that.

I can eat from the minute I wake up to to right before I go to bed, non stop.

I'm pretty good at work because I just eat what I bring. When I'm home the old lady next door will usually bake a whole bunch of stuff and drop cookies, brownies, cake, etc off and it'd be rude not to eat it.

Try fasting. Just get some really great black coffee that you love and some really good sparkling water and some adderall.

I could never diet either but I do IF 3 to 4 times a week and I absolutely crave the brain orgasms I get from hours 14-20.
