How fast can you run a mile right now?
I’m trying to get down to sub-six and clocked a 6:40 yesterday afternoon. What are your mile times at present?

Same. Depends on weather, mood, diet, etc for me.

I do very little tempo running any longer. Right now I could probably still hit 6:30-6:40 for a couple miles. In the good old days I could run the 1/2 at a 6:40 pace. Now I don't think I could break a 7:30 pace.

My fastest ever PT test was 9min mile and half, and I used to run 5 miles in 35mins with ease.

Some times on my PT test 7 years later ill get a ten something, sometimes 11. Just all depends, ive also can't seem to figure out how to run with add muscle and weight. My blazing times I was 155lb now I'm 175lb.

In 1983 I ran a 4:39 and several 4:40somethings; today It takes me about double that. I can't figure out if I'm half as fast or twice as slow.....

You might need to do speedwork/intervals to drop that 40 seconds.

Wtf? Why would I run for that long? Don't see any reasons to run that far unless I'm running from a dog or the police. I don't break the law and have a mean right kick for the dog, so.....yea screw running that far.

On a serious note, last time was 8:20. That was without running anything more than 60 yard aprints and prowler pushes for over a year

I don't belong in here necessarily, but I'll play

a little under 8 minutes.

And if I'm on one of those crossfit style air runners, more like 9 and a half minutes.

I have no idea but will try it sometime soon. I did the 2 mile in JV track at 11:15 but that was 20+ years ago and I rarely run/jog. I'm hoping that I could still run a 7 minute mile but we'll see.

I run a good bit. I am slow a slow MF'r though. ~7:30 mile is where I'm at right now. It's pretty depressing.

And I'm in some of the best shape of my life. Ran for an hour, followed by a 4.5 hour bike ride, followed by a 45 minute run this Saturday. Woke up Sunday without a bit of soreness and ran 1.5 hours. Just can't run fast.

Half marathon target for me this weekend is a 9 min pace.

I sprinted once since I started working out last June. Injured two body parts in one sprint

Garmin says 5:42.

that was probably trying to hit a segment on strava or something. i'm nowhere near that fast on average.

i usually clock anywhere between an 8-8:45 on most runs, but can get under 7:30 if i'm working on sprint stuff.

A) that's a great pace. WTF.

B) it's a good pace. that gets you under 2 hours if you can hold it. i have a lot of trouble not walking or feeling sorry for myself miles 11-13 when i run halfs.
