How do most of you measure BF%?

I've traditionally done calipers but I'm interested in trying out a dexa scan.

After my swim event at Wodapalooza, I was standing around in my thigh length compression speedos in a 3/4 sleeve length 2017 Regionals shirt at the Born Primitive booth.

I do a Dexa every quarter just for the hell of it. Have one tomorrow actually. Most recent was 16% in Sept.

I pay OOP. The same clinic that I do VO2 Max testing at does it, so I basically just do it while I’m there. I’m not a bodybuilder or trying to get super lean or anything. Just kind of a data nut.

Abdomen at the navel and neck measurements. Plug it into some onlime Navy calculator.
May not be the most accurate, but the trend and the mirror are all I really care about.

My scale tracks mine. I've had it tested and my scale shows ~2% lower than I am, but whatever. Just use it to track the trend.

I recently bought a caliper but haven’t used it yet. I think I’m too scared I know what I want the results to be, and I’m not sure I’m there yet.

If you’re used to doing calipers then a DEXA scan will humble you lol. Just don’t go into one with high expectations.

12.9% on the Dexa today. Down abt 10# since I last took one (9/27).
