Love these rest days. I was off pace during Squatober so usually had to work in 6 day weeks.

My shoulders are recouping today. Little soreness.

Did 45 min walk at 15% incline for some zone 2 today and some ab work/stretching, nice easy day which was much needed.

Those 20 reps of laterals was intense this morning. The high reps are really making me drop the weights a ton.

The first 10 reps feel super easy, then the next 5 are perfect, then the last 5 are torture.

At least that’s my experience.

Same for me. Nice mix of relatively low rep work and high rep, overall felt pretty good, particularly the strength movements (bench and ohp). But I couldn’t finish all 20 of the skullctushers, just went to failure and called it. Using a timer for rest intervals helped and probably sped up the workout.

hit w2d3 last night. subbed overhead band ext for the skull crushers. the SK hurt my elbows

as far as weights...i use the hell out of my 13/9/5 kbs for the shoulder movements. not even mad about it either lol.

W3D2 finished. Felt good in spite if the volume. Kind of finding a groove with weight per exercise

I also finished w3d2 today, but I subbed in cross body single arm triceps extensions (at 20lbs) for the tate press. I highly recommend that sub if you have a pulley; felt like it was hitting the long head of triceps hard AF and wasn’t weird to do like the Tate press.

I like that idea a lot, going to add that next time. I agree with not enjoying the tate press, I feel like it puts my shoulders in a vulnerable position and I don’t feel a great tricep contraction

Yea I thought it was because my RoM was limited by spinlock but even with commercial dbs I found it hard to keep tension in triceps throughout. Cable worked a lot better

Haven’t been keeping up with this thread too well cause I thought I was super behind. Wasn’t paying attention to the days/weeks and have just been doing 6 workouts a week trying to catch up and finished week 4 day 1 today. I’m an idiot.

Anyhow, curls to OHP are just insane. Last set today I literally did not use weights, and could barely get my 15 reps. Woof.

ETA: also just realized I did 4 sets and was only supposed to do 3. But still.

W3D4 done. That was enough close grip push-ups to last a long while. My triceps were toast by the time I got to 4x25 push downs
