I use a towel and yes am an old man. Not fond of putting my head in head oil from previous user and prevents me from leaving an oily spot from my shaved head. I call this good hygiene.

Bruh I have a 3 car garage and it's full Of my kids shite and my wife's seasonal fricking decorations. I couldnr fit a pair of dumbells in there much less build a gym. I'm convinced if I had a 5 car garage they would fill it with more shite.

Jose yes it is. He’s writing my current program and doing my macros. Went talk to him Monday while he was between clients.
I like that fact that there’s no enrollment fee and no time commitment. So will work perfectly for 4-6 months of summer.

I bring a small Adidas grip and have gloves, a towel, 2 water bottles, and I can also slap my light jacket or hoodie in there. So, yeah, a man purse I guess….

I’m all for this good hygiene method. Although I find old men use the towels out in the weight room and then proceed to use no towel or any clothing at all in the locker room
But in all seriousness my only problem with it is when someone uses a towel/gym bag to mark terrority on a bench or machine and then proceed to go do another exercise on the other side of the gym.

I don’t understand the naked comfort level either. Maybe a different generation thing. I’m old but 62 old. Not nuts to the floor old.

Do they match your purse tho? That’s the main question

Adidas gym bag and us older guys call it a grip. It has to loops that Velcro together and form a grip.

You all will complain about everything
I have been taking my back to the gym for 20 years now. Has water, towel, belt, some straps and braces if I need them. It is always tucked away at whatever equipment I am using and not in the way.
Bags do not get in the way, people get in the way.

Depends on what you’re doing. I’m brining my bag because it has equipment I need. A belt for bracing, wrist wraps for heavy presses, sleeves for support, etc. all of which will be used and removed when appropriate. As long as it’s not in anyone’s way, it’s not a big deal. If this bothers you, don’t join a gym with competitive lifters.
ETA: I should also note that I don’t go to a commercial gym. I go to a private gym that doesn’t have 100 people in there at any given time.

Yeah. OP should take his pansy arse to Planet Fitness. Won’t be bothered with gym bags while using the hip abductor.

OP never said he had a problem with bags, just leaving them in everyone’s way. Bring all the crap you want, just don’t leave it in the middle of walkways.

I film myself doing squats / deadlifts once every month or so… what’s the problem with that?

The best part of what you said is that the guys who brought the bags are so far from competitive lifters. They sure think they ought to be though.

You should take your pansy arse to PF. Just go back to your running threads. I miss our old workout days

Bingo!!! Bring all the things you need and take as many trips to your bag of goodies as you need in between your selfies, just put it somewhere where I don’t have to walk over or around it.

Jesus Christ, the things some of you "need" to lift weights is nuts! I've been lifting weights for 20+ years. Only equipment I have used has been straps for heavy deadlifts. Wrist wraps? are you benching 600lbs?!? Elbow sleeves?!? Do these even have a point unless you are in the realm of strong man/body builder weight?! If you wear a belt for heavy squats or deadlifts, I get it. But other than that, the other shite is all useless.
Now get off my lawn, you pesky kids!

Glad it wasn't me who thought that was an excessive amount of crap to bring to the gym.
