I just put a foam pad on my Ohio power bar for super high bar squats. I can't do front squats so here I am. Doing narrow stance ATG pause squats.

What ya got?

I bench press more than I squat and my deadlift isn't much better.

Made a commitment this year to fixing that.

I've stayed on the elliptical or exercise bike way longer than planned numerous times to assess some hot chicks that were in front of me

Yeah same here man. Can't tell you how many times I've broken my focus because some fine piece of arse has walked by. And, yeah, I for sure try to push myself harder when they're lurking.

I have a love hate relationship with deadlifts, I know it's one of the big three and I still do them a few times a month but no matter how much I work on form and practice the lift I still don't feel comfortable doing them.

I once was single digit body fat, I would row 10k meters or more and would lift weights later.

But after a shitty army pt program (I'm a civilian now) and getting married into a Mexican family I gained 40-50 pounds and I realized how hard it is to get back to where I was.

Oh and I am dumbfounded by seeing these guys bench 405 but never been in a squat rack or on a deadlift/Olympic lifting platform. Doesn't make sense to me

Crossfit has absolutely humbled me.

I thought I was in decent shape and wouldn't be that far behind, but damn, some of the chicks in my class are goddamn beasts.

My deadlift is much more than my bench, but I bench more than I can squat.

To make matters worse, I can only squat on a smith machine for some reason.

I've switched entirely to RDL's from deadlifts @ 35.

They just feel much better and safer. Saw too many fellow 30+ lifters with multiple herniations to not make the change.
