For the deadlifters.....straight bar or hex bar?

I disagree. Weight is centered so your form will be off.

Straight bar always. Never liked the hex bar for deadlifting.

Use both. 2x a month for each.

Hex bar for higher reps

Straight. I’ll lift conventional for months then switch to Sumo for a few months. No longer really interested in progressing in dead’s though. It’s just my staple maintenance lift.

Started using the hex bar when my low back started giving me hell.
It’s definitely easier on the low back.

regular up to 225, then I use alternate. Wish I could get used to the hook grip, but kills me every time I try.

Regular up to 405 then hook grip. Switch if my thumb is hurting.
